For Speeding you can pay the fine and do a driver awareness course to avoid points. But I thought phone meant automatic points, plus fine.
I knew about the speeding (and running red lights) but wasn't sure about the phone, I always thought that was a straight points too because it is a choice and not a mistake/lapse like the other two.
Depends on the area you live as to what the fine would be, but it’s only offered if speeding between 30-39mph I believe. Just done one myself, £90 and a four hour speed awareness course. My second in the last 12 years for doing 38 in a 30.

Speeding awareness course depends on speed.Anything up to 10% of speed plus 9mph,so for example 30mph +10% =33 +9mph=42 mph anything above that it's point and fine no awareness course..I know I got done in wales on a mile straight road which was empty apart from speed van at very end.I was doing 76mph on a national speed limit road but it was only single carriage so 60mph is limit.
God I spent 4 hours of my life on what a single, dual, 30 zone and national speed limit is and I still just look at what the dash limit tells me.
