In other words they don't have a ****ing scooby. Any word from the club yet? I know Wilson said we'd like to appoint someone this week but someone must be in charge in the meantime.
Some good points here. I think that the next appointment is likely to be short term. I do not see the board coming out of this unscathed and therefore would not be surprised if the likes of Reed get cleared out too with a new board being given the opportunity to make permanent appointment in the summer. This is unless they have targeted the next replacement which might explain the delay in sacking Pellegrino because of the time negotiating with the new manager. For me, the issue of managerial appointments, player recruitment, the lack of success with the academy and the inability to retain playing staff spells out that there also needs to be a clear out at a higher level. I can't see the Chinese sticking with Reed and Kreuger. I think that the next appointment will be less risky and we are likely to get someone with a decent track record as opposed to a manager with purported potential. However, I still see this something that will happen in the summer if we stay up.
Totally agree. We have so little time left that giving anyone a run out isnt an option though! we will be looking to Austin to save this season, two up front IMO.
At At least the goalkeeper should do well then. Dave Watson though, could be a good shout. He was always the one getting info on tothe pitch.
I'm poorly inclined to give MP2 anything other than a hand opening the door. Nice guy or not he has guided us to a terrible situation. Had he shown any signs of desperation or true effort to avoid this I'd give him greater credit but I have seen nothing this season other than belligerent and poor management. The proof will be in the pudding, we will either show new form under a new regieme or I will admit I'm wrong and that the squad is really piss poor and he had no chance.
Doesn't mean anything at this very early stage, but Hughes' odds have already slashed to 10/11 favourite.
In the only way that Southampton seem to do things, it appears we haven't Surely they must have been sounding out people
And someone to thread the ball through for him. If we had played to his movement early in the season we wouldn't even be in this mess. My worry now is that we are so indoctrinated into the system we've been fed that it will take a preseason to get us straight again. Hoping against hope that this isnt the case and we can get straight back to playing attacking football.
