I ring my mum every week regardless of being Mothering Sunday.......I moved away 20 years ago and we still speak all the time. I will echo FLTs words people and cherish your mums everyone. I work with a lad who lost his mum 6 weeks ago and he became a dad for the first time on Friday, and having read his post on Facebook this morning about how he wishes his mum had met her granddaughter was heart wrenching
I agree entirely. I lost my mum about 4 and a half years ago, and I now have grandchildren of my own who she never saw. Love them and cherish them while they’re with you, and always remember them when they’re gone.
I lost my mother 11 years ago - still think of her every day and quite often go to pick up the phone to share something with her. Sometimes it is not until they are gone that you truly appreciate the things they did for you.
Just got back to Serbia after visiting the UK for my mum's 80th birthday and mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary. Couldn't believe the weather!
Aparrently when he was going through his tax evasion court stuff , he said “ I told the inland revenue , I didn’t owe them a penny , as I live by the sea “
A very funny man. Like Tommy Cooper, he can't be judged by a minute's clip on YouTube. An hours show and you'd be hysterical....resistance is futile.
Absolutely! I had a friend who went to one of his shows and had to leave at half past midnight because a) he said his sides were hurting too much and b) he needed to get up at 7.00 and apparently Ken was asked to stop at 1.30. What a guy!
Stayed in Woburn last night , and I have just got back from a visit to Bletchley park . Very interesting , Poor Alan Turing though Some of it was shut as they are updating a few bits and adding some , but it was worth it .

https://uk.yahoo.com/news/sir-ken-dodd-married-long-term-partner-secret-days-died-124326560.html Ken Dodd married his partner of 40 years a few days before he died. Nice story....though you wonder why he didn't before.
No surprise , but it is horrific . Nothing against the main victim , but his Daughter , and IMHO more importantly the innocent civilians that MIGHT be affected . It's too sad .....
Of course, but nothing wrong with doing your best for your family....though a bit risky to leave it so late.
