Reading worst team according to post Xmas form guide and we couldn’t beat them. Who exactly do you think the four will be we’re gonna win against
I know Glory, just my opinion. I really must learn not to encourage him. I can see why he comes on here, you have no doubt seen their forum
You're a nice bloke Ell....add another ten years mate First Leeds game v Grimsby back in the 1963/64 season. Billy scored & instantly became a boyhood hero. Not lost the bug of attending games since although I wish I could have kicked the habit over the last 15 years
Reading same team playoffs last season, leicester league champions a few years back,Leeds winning the league in 92 then couldn't win any away games next season.you tell me why expert.
I couldn't believe it when I had a look When you think of their fans who turn up at The Den to hurl abuse at us from the sides. You'd think they'd be a fanatical lot
You'll get on with Glory as I think he was probably the only person on here who never trusted either from the start. I didn't want Orta but at the moment Rads still has me on side.
I assume you are quoting the expenditure after the income from Wood and Taylor? Even so your figures are way off the mark according to these figures: https://www.transfermarkt.com/leeds-united/transfers/verein/399
I think too early to judge Cibicki and Ekuban and Taylor as he has been injured, personally I can't see the others getting better but who knows...
Many straws being clutched I know and to be fair if these blokes dont step up this season they could be history, but who will want 16 players on long contracts?
Funnily enough i’m using the U.K. transfermarkt site as that’s got the data in pounds see https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2 Not sure in what respect you think my figures are way off the mark It shows total spend over £25m but understated the sales figure as it shows Taylor's as a free transfer but I thought we got compensation - I’m assuming total sales 21-22m (Woods, Bridcutt, Taylor)
I was in the, faith in Radz until events dictate otherwise (I was a bit wary of the pr, suck up the fans stuff). I was pretty vocal in my views on orta being a likely disaster. My pre-season view was i’d judge Radz on what he does when the orta experiment likely failed. He has an entire management team with a vested interest in sticking together and blaming the coach. Now they’re on a second coach they’ll realise that argument is tenuous and be looking to blame each other. Radz has let orta stick dross on 4 year contracts. He has a mess of his own making to sort out. It’s forgivable because he’s new to the game and relied on others to advise him. In the summer we’ll see how fast a learner he is and how good a businessman. So jury out on Radz for me. I expect them back for verdict around August.
He has made comments about learning from this season that he can’t delegate decisions to others and needs to be more hands on. I interpret that as a comment on Orta as players are the major financial decision the club makes (apart from things like buying the ground). We will see - he is a PR man so we have to judge on actions not words
