He never got one tenth of the harassment that Eddie Jones did recently from Scotland supporters. I really don't see what they did wrong, apart, obviously, from the dangerous driving. I suppose he'll try and say it was the daughter filming, and I notice the line the the papers are now taking is that he deliberately spat at the daughter - that just isn't true, based on that vid. And the daughter his deffo heard telling her dad to stop filming, isn't she?

All that said, if I was driving down Queen's Drive with my daughter after we'd beat United 2-1 and pulled up next to Gary Neville, I'd like to think that the worst that could happen would be being told to **** off if we gave him some flak.

 

It can be seen as just fashionable to criticise authority (and sometimes I think it is) but I do think the FA do what should be a relatively simple job really poorly. They are inconsistent, inefficient, and far more concerned with their public image than justice.

 

Dunno about you, but I wouldn't be sacked for losing my driving licence. I have to inform my employers, and, as a shift worker, I'd have a real task on my hand getting to work - probably cost half my wages in taxis. But I wouldn't be sacked.

I would, however, be instantly dismissed for gross misconduct if I was prosecuted (not even found guilty) for spitting/assault in a criminal court.

I'd just point out that I'm really not a big fan of conspiracy theories so, I don't believe they've got it in for us particularly, I'd need more hard evidence for that. I just put most of their bad decisions down to incompetence.
I don't think they're impartial enough, because I think they're more concerned with doing the popular thing (whatever they believe makes them look good) as opposed to the right thing.

My view is if they gave him a little ha ha once then its fair enough nice to meet you (assholes under the breath) 3 or 4 times and the guy is a right dick and teaching his daughter some bad manners but the phone use is really the only possible thing to fire at the guy form a legal perspective.

At least he's categorically denying that he even saw the girl, which seems to go with the evidence and contradicts the newspapers' line that he deliberately spat at her. I too withdraw the allegation that he spat at a car with a kid in, as he clearly seems to be concentrating on the driver. That said, it's still grossly offensive, disproportionate and possibly even criminal. Not changed my view that he should be sacked.
