West Ham fans generally appeared to be against moving stadium and were told that the move would result in the club being better able to compete at the top end of the table. So far this hasn't happened and the fans probably feel that they have been mis-sold by the owners. Note that the owners have not spent what was required to break into the European places in that league. The fans therefore appear to be voicing their dissatisfaction about their plight. Paying a high price for a soulless experience with no results to compensate. The stadium isn't a football stadium. West Ham fans have gone from a tight atmospheric ground to an athletics arena. Yes they are turning out in numbers, but they were promised success in return and their owners have failed them. This seems enough to me to warrant some form of protest, and they have been effective in highlighting their unhappiness. There may be loads of stuff going on behind the scenes there that we don't know about. Would West Ham fans know about the airco arena issues? Probably not. I'm no West Ham fan, but I think I may have a bit of admiration about their fans at the moment. They are actually being quite militant towards their owners. No sign that they are thinking twice about protesting on the basis of empty promises of their owners, far from it. To think that a load of football fans suddenly get hysterical about nothing is quite a naive view. If every fan let their views known in the way that West Ham fans have this season, we may not have the same level of unscrupulous ownership of football clubs that we have. Go for it West Ham fans, and shame on you if you do not think they have the right to protest.
My best placed what? Protest about owners? Sure if they feel aggrieved. Run onto the pitch and confront players? No. The “heroes” who ran onto the pitch didn’t seem to get a warm welcome when they returned to the stands either.
there's a video of two of the pitch invaders returning to the stand.. literally no stewards to be seen they run up the steps towards the concourse and a big bout of fisticuffs occurs
Your judgement is flawed as we've seen in the past, your credibility is zero. Your opinions change like the weather when it comes to supporter relations and you've been nothing but divisive in your pre epiphany days. And you clearly have little understanding of what's happened at West Ham your comments demonstrate. Flip flop
Disgraceful that so-called fans dare run on and brandish corner flags, it could have caused carnage . Life time bans called for and expect points deductions and games now played behind closed doors . GSB have every right to trouser tens of millions- it's their club, they can do what they want.
Ooo that’s me told. By some no mark. Still no details to explain why we should be supporting our London football brothers, just playground style name calling. Are you and Rigsby the same, empty, person?
Is that Hullcitytigers #1 fan or HCSTs official spokesman that just called me a no mark . I am definitely not Rigsby, unlike you I only have 1 persona and do not flip flop from day to day, hour to hour. As I said.... zero credibility and flip flop. Bye bye Angry Hullcitytiger....
BBC website 8:37 PAOK Salonika president invades pitch with gun Football But before we get started, this story is hard to ignore. The Greek top-flight match between PAOK Salonika and AEK Athens on Sunday was abandoned after PAOK's president invaded the pitch with a gun. Ivan Savvidis tried to confront the referee with a gun in a hip holster after his side had an 89th-minute goal ruled offside with the score 0-0. AEK's players left the pitch concerned for their safety and did not return. The match was officially abandoned two hours later but it was reported that the referee had reversed his decision. Savvidis asked his team to leave the pitch following the offside decision then marched towards the referee before being pulled back by bodyguards. PAOK are third in the Greek top flight and could have moved within two points of leaders AEK with a win.
I had a similar experience sitting outside a cafe in Toledo. Worse than anything i have experienced in the uk and this was only something like tier 3 football in Spain
They had no sympathy for Orient when they were shafted. Maybe they should protest by switching allegience and going to a real club with a real ground and atmosphere.
BBC 8:57 How West Ham pitch invasions unfolded Football A few notes via the Metropolitan Police following Saturday's game at West Ham. 1. Officers are not routinely deployed inside stadiums unless specific intelligence requires. 2. There were more officers deployed around the game due to planned protest. 3. As of yet, West Ham have not requested officers to be present inside the stadium for future matches. If the request was made, the club would have to pay for it. Statement: "A proportionate policing plan was in place for the match on 10th March. Additional resources were deployed due to information received about a protest by West Ham fans before the match. This protest passed without incident. "We are investigating a number of pitch invasions by individual home fans, and two allegations of assault. Officers from the Central London football reserves were deployed to the stadium to assist. "There have been no arrests at this time."

The Superleague Greece has been suspended, pending an agreement over owners not running on the pitch with a gun. Nutters.
