Let's not forget, our start last year wasnt good, and we will probably turn it around, if we don't then Bruce will have to go, no questions. If we have another mid-season slump he has to go, three seasons in a row is unacceptable.

IMO I don't think he's up to the job and how he keeps getting top flight jobs is beyond me. But I am completely open to him proving me wrong end hope he does.

I understand about people's frustration, last season added to this seasons poor start annoyed me as well, the goals should come soon and then we should improve greatly.

There are reasons why I don't think Bruce will turn it around:
. He has rarely shown any tactical knowledge
. He either does not have control over our players or thinks its a good idea to hoof it up to tiny players
. He has made the same mistakes again and again, playing people out of positions constantly.
. He is soooo negative, we rarely ever score more than 2 goals, and it all comes back to us
. Our corners are really poor and it looks like we don't practice them, vs Newcastle every corner we had was wasted whereas they looked like scoring from every corner.
. He has failed to sign any left sided player since he has came, and instead resorts to playing Larsson (WHY, WHY, WHY??!!) and other ineffectual players there.
. He doesn't understand basic things (players out of position, hoofing ball up despite selling Jones)
. Doesn't seem able to motivate players, we rarely look up for games.

So thats my view, too early to go and should be given his chance, although he should in the end go so we can further progress, Unless he drastically improves which I hope he does!

I think it will still be too early - but it might depend on the performances.

Think we need to wait until we have played Stoke, WBA and Norwich at the very least, and more likely wait to see where we are after the Vile game on Halloween.

My worry is if we scrape wins or draws, it will only paper over the cracks. (That were clearly showing last season, even with a full team out.)
We have to play like a team on a regular basis and I really am sorry to say Bruce looks totally incapable of doing that.

Anyone else see the all the new faces SAF brought in for the match against Spurs?
Lots of them with little or no Prem experience, or with experience of playing alongside each other.
Yet they totally ripped Spurs apart, they were well organised and did their jobs to the best of their ability.
    Why?
Because they have a "manager" who has a game plan, and if you don't do exactly as he says you are out the door.

The 1-0 at home to west ham, 1-0 Villa many more. They gave us three points but our luck will always run out.

When the "we have never had it so good lads" start.
I feel like a traitor mentioning quite a lot of our results last season were lucky. And once again I say, apart from the Chelsea game.

I suggest you read your drivel again and ......engage brain.....bruce has played professional football at the highest club level fo many many years...... he was a great man u defensive player for many years.....he has managed football clubs for 12 years and has had most of them punching above their weight until their best players were sold. What do you think the best manager in the modern game thinks of steve bruce....i think i would take fergies opinion of steve bruce over yours and in no way would he describe him as clueless.. you however i think would be picking hairdryer parts out of you bonce for many a day ...

It's the tone of your posts that's winding people up marra. If you respond to posts in an offensive way, expect offensive retorts.
