Trevor Brooking says it was a coin.

Either way, somebody spent a penny and hurled it at one of the club's owners...

  3. Apparently it doubled the amount that the Dildo Bros. had invested in the club ........ (Rather than the amount that they have squirrelled away from their dodgy dealings....)

It seems that the footage of West Ham fans protesting at their owners, as very helpfully put on here by CK, has been removed from Youtube by the PL. That's right boys, if we all pretend hard enough, maybe it'll be like it never happened and everyone can get on with making **** loads of money.

Despite my feelings for West Ham as a club, I always had a respect for Trevor Brooking. Whilst being brave enough too say that those who can't support the club should stay away, he also said...

"I saw some families leaving because the youngsters were frightened. The level of aggression was something I couldn't believe a West Ham fan would get involved in."

    <laugh>
Oh, Sir Trevor. Really? He's pretending harder than anyone.

This is an interesting angle as the first few seconds shows Noble going TOWARDS the fan and assaulting him - not being threatened by him. But I imagine this will all be glossed over to. Not defending the fan/yob at all, but it is an over action.

I don't comprehend how Noble was able to paint it as if he had been 'attacked' by the fan. There is zero evidence that the fan was physically threatening him, which is why Jarhead Hart sprints over to move Noble away - he is expecting a 6 game ban for violent conduct.

I'll be livid if their Captain Fantastic gets away with it.

  7. Very easy to laugh, but this is a genuine fan - if a rather pathetic wimp, who frankly should look at his life choices of following such a disreputable bunch of shysters...... I actually feel for this lad - but it’s bloody funny at the same time!

Here's a charming comment from one of the Real West Ham Fans (formerly Real West Ham Fans Action Group, although better known by their previous name the Inter-City Firm) which was sent via Facebook to a member of the West Ham United Independent Supporters’ Association when it emerged that they were going ahead with the protest that the club and the Inter-City Firm Real West Ham Fans conspired to shut down (nicked from The Independent)

The fact they acknowledge that they're members of a hooligan firm, and that it's known that the club have met with them, is surely worth The FA and Premier League having a few words. Perhaps those words would include "points" and "deduction"?

FootballDotLondon have also posted an article at least six months later than they should have

So two teams played yesterday who wear claret and blue.

The visiting supporters wanted to clap
their team. The home support wanted to
cosh out your claret and leave you black
    and blue.

  10. Brookings comments are deluded to put it mildly, although I appreciate that he is trying to limit the damage of action against hi club.

'A lot of the stewards on duty are stadium people and sometimes haven't had any experience of dealing with football crowds. The police and board have to get together and make sure whoever is looking after the control of the crowd against Southampton in three weeks' time has the experience and knowledge to make sure nothing escalates like it did yesterday.'

So, that's admission that the club are incapable of staging an event, identifying risk and planning accordingly. This wasn't a shock - the likelihood of protest was clear for days, so an appropriate level of security should have been sought.

In fact, the PL, FA and media appear to have conveniently forgotten all the violent protests that greeted their arrival at the TPA and the club are surely still on notice for those matters.

Like others on here, I'm expecting nothing more than a slap on the wrist for the Dildo Bros. and Brady - with the 'blame' directed at a small number of fans and stewards not doing their job.

Here's something mentioned in today's Grauniad that didn't get much coverage last week

Although Sullivan has told the Guardian that he is not the director of football, he was referred to by that title when the accounts were released last week. “David Sullivan in effect takes a Football Director role in helping to select and negotiate all football transfers alongside the manager,” Karren Brady, the vice-chairman, wrote. Nobody at the club has come up with an explanation for the publication of that line.

Sounds to me like Sullivan's got delusions of being Daniel Levy, but fails to realise that
a.) Levy knows what he's doing
b.) Levy has had a long-term plan for the club in place since at least 2004
    c.) Levy isn't a colossal ****

    d) Levy can meet the supporters without needing
bulletproof glass between him and them

  17. The Beeb and other areas of the media sweet to Brady and the Dildo Bros. are pushing the narrative that the club are ‘victims’ in all this, desperate to limit the damage of any potential fine, ground closure or points deduction. The blame is being dir3cted at the stadium authorities for failing to provide sufficient stewards or any police. <doh>

And the Mail is running with Noble not facing retrospective action as it was witnessed by the referee at the time..... Think you’ll find that criminal law comes above the FA and as has been shown on video, Noble approached the ‘fan’ and assaulted him, not the other way around.

But you can write the final script on this already......

    Fair enough.

Time to accept that the LLDC are not sufficiently
experienced in meeting the stewarding needs of
football matches with home support such as the
    Spanners.

So the Spanners to agree to take back control/
responsibility for stewarding at the TPA (TM) for their
    home games only.

Oh wait ... that means the D1ldo bros have to PAY
the costs of match day stewards THEMSELVES,
    doesn't it.

We've already got Karrunt Brady wailing about being "bullied" out of the White Elephant and demanding talks with Sadiq Khan.

Funny how she forgets that she routinely used her Sun column to smear Spurs throughout the "tendering" process that was a stitch-up from the start, or her less-than diplomatic clashes with Apprentice contestants, isn't it?

    There's also this...

Lets hope that the Labour Mayor of London will give the tory Baroness and her party funding paymasters a very short audience and that he tells them they won't be getting further assistance for free, and that any additional policing and stewarding will be provided at the going rate for these services.

There has been alot of coverage of the issues of West Ham, and alot of it seems to centre on the expectations of supporters not being met - just so that we are all clear West Ham are currently 16th in the premier and there average league position of the last 50 seasons is 16th seems to me that they are doing whats expected!
