I object to this thread on the basis that is not gender neutral and therefore not inclusive. The correct name according to Waitrose is "You day" (note - not ewe day, which would prejudice rams). Cards will be sold with "Dad, thanks for being an amazing Mum" inside ...or may be the thread's ok, and we're just seeing the tail trying to wag the dog
I lost my Mother when she was 52 She was an incredible person. Wouldn’t allow me to wear a school uniform She brought a house in Menorca when I was 7, took us there every few months. Always taught me that the U.K. wasn’t the be all and end all. Taught me how to ride and kept 3 horses. She tried most drugs and taught me they were empty ... she said never ever hesitate and fulfil your dreams because we are lucky to be born in this part of the world
My two year old presented my wife with a card this morning that I was particularly proud of. The front reads; 'IT'S NOT DRINKING ALONE IF THE KIDS ARE HOME.'
My Mum has just come round to dinner and stay for a bit of dog sitting while I’m away. She has just informed us that she is in the process of choosing the music for her funeral (no reason to think it will be used soon). She wants the coffin to be carried out to Bowie’s Life on Mars. Not bad for a 78 year old, bless her.
Am I alone in finding it amusing that you typed out “...” before telling us that your mother taught you to never ever hesitate?
I think ... that when Ravel came to train with us looking for a deal, he posted some pics of he and his mum enroute to the R's. Some of our posters took a bit of a fancy to her.
Just saying I have had the most amazing day. Hubbie arranged so both my girls came over to surprise me and we had dinner...this is so special as both girls have serious deadlines to hit by Tuesday...my eldest will be working probably all night, on finishing a wedding dress. I am really blessed...
