One thing that seems obvious to me is that every player looks much better in their second year under Poch and that players always look poor for many games after injury. I suspect that is something to do with the level of fitness needed to look good in his system. So don't give up on Aurier, Rose, Wanyama, Llorente and Winks yet.

Absolutely mate. I think what disappoints me most is that I haven’t seen any sign of progress yet. Thought by now we would have.

I love these guys on here but like you I am glad they are not managing Spurs. They would smash their cruciates with all the knee jerk reactions.

You need to remember that many of the negativity happens to be tongue in cheek comments, courtesy of some of us graduating from the school of RCL.

This was always a game where Bournemouth would run out of steam.
Their all action game is hard to play for 90 minutes - especially against a team who can play a high energy game for the whole 90 minutes and has the ability to pick them off when they tire.
God knows how it was 0-0 last season

That's what I felt Luke. I always thought we would win this even when were behind, all that is, until the last 10 minutes when it was like old times and I thought we would concede.

Any update on Kane’s injury status?

  13. Not a knee jerk, mate.
We were looking to rest Sonny as he has been running himself into the ground and looked really affected by the Juve defeat. Looking after him, that's all.
Aurier continues to confound. For supposedly an experienced international FB he's been error strewn and very inconsistent.
Dele has been through a difficult few weeks and we expect a lot from him. To his credit he hasn't hidden away.
Rose on the other hand is a shadow of his former self on the pitch and doing nothing to suggest a decent attitude off it. He will not be a loss.
On the other side of the coin, I really think that Sissoko has turned it around. He does a job consistently and doesn't cause any grief sitting on the bench.
This side has set the bar pretty high the last few years and expectations are high. I'm sure that Poch sets his sights even higher than ours!! :emoticon-0148-yes:

Son scores twice, Aurier scores one and makes another, Dele is constent threat throughout the game and scores too. Rose look a bit fitter but was not to effective. Sissocko you abused him now you need to send a card that says Welcome <laugh>

    Have you any knees left?
