Correct. Football fans don't protest like West Ham fans did yesterday because they've lost some games of football. They have been royally shafted and the anger there has been simmering all season since they were taken away from their home, to somewhere they didn't want to be. Their voices are never heard. I've no sympathy for their tourist fans and can't abide their owners or Brady and I hope they are relegated. However, I suspect those protests were from people who are fighting the cause of real football fans who oppose such things like fair pricing, concessions and identity. I'm very surprised by the lack of sympathy on here after what we're going through.
Shafted how? Literally no explanation of that bizarre statement. Didn't want to move? So who snapped up all of those season tickets? Have a huge group of previously hard core Hammers been boycotting the new stadium in protest? They seemed quite happy when their owners were splashing the cash on players and managers. Their anger is down to the fact they believe they deserve to win every game and not be the 5th or 6th best club in London. West Ham fans have always been a bit ****ish, back since the days of the ICF.
At least we get some new ideas for protests at the villa game. I would love to see Ehab in the directors box being faced with Phil West Uppper Happy and Chazz yelling at him . As for me I'll show someone where to stick the corner flag
S'funny, I always used to think of Burnley as being inferior to us. Don't really know what caused me to think that. But by jove, they have spectacularly got it right over the past few years. In the long shadows cast by manchester and liverpool, a really dedicated set of one town team supporters, playing in a ground that has been carefully redeveloped without losing its overall 'charm'. Sensible manager left to get on with it by owners called ..... erm don't know. Clearly some sorts that just let the footballing side manage itself, with grounded players doing just that. The bastards. I am quite envious. And whilst pontificating about all things Lancashire, I quite like what Accrington are doing. Best away trip for a long time last year, or the year before. 'Proper football', whatever that is.
I envisage a travel rug being thrown to one side , a hurried walk from West to the corner flag then onto the centre circle with pole forceably thrust into the turf....'I am Spartacus' echoing around the KC.
I got caught in the middle of two sets of fans during the Lille Lens derby about ten years ago. I was driving through Lille on a sunny Sunday afternoon thinking this is a lovely quiet town and got trapped in the middle of two crews hurling bottles and rocks at each other. It was ****ing mental.
Maybe but then we have you sneering at virtually everything about Hull or (the majority of) Hull City fans.
No evidence. Though you now using "majority" instead of you often implying it is all is, in my opinion, evidence of error. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Having poor form in understanding fan issues at City I'm not sure your best placed to comment on other clubs relationships between owners and fans.
