That might be a good point if West Ham had a plight. Spending lots of money and not getting the results you hoped for isn't what I would call a plight. They deserve derision.
Any evidence the majority are passionate? A couple of hundred vocal ones in the North Stand. A number are dedicated and devote time and money to gollowingnthe club but not in a passionate, jumping up and down exuberant way. I doubt if most clubs in our predicament and with all the issues held a meeting with fans groups one of the first things brought up would be the concern of an old biddy's members about their enjoyment being spoilt by people standing up.
If the issue is pricing, why wait until you're getting beaten at home and then try to confront the players. The most vociferous protests seem to happen when a team is losing. When we were winning it was difficult to get much sympathy for our off pitch issues. Many people really seem to think it's just about results.
arsenal, newcastle, west ham, The Most Massive Club On The Planet and probably others that I can't remember. Completely deluded fans that think their club is bigger than, or more deserving than all other football clubs put together. west ham - you had Allardyce who would have kept you in relative Premier League safety (no not Champions League or Europa League but mid table mediocrity which is your station in life) . But binned him off because he didn't play the 'west ham way'. What is the west ham way, a ****ing road? You got a stadium for **** all and yet still you moan. Fack off, get relegated, then get promoted all champagne charlie style. And then repeat.
It is no good telling them they got a stadium and should be grateful. Their fans didn't want a new stadium, free or not.
Some of the ignorance is astounding. Probably the best parallel to us at present and we expect the footballing world to feel sorry for us. Allams out, porn kings out, oyston out, sisu out..... Our game isn't just a vehicle for expanding their business empires. We can't even stand together for our own cause so why does it surprise me
They hate losing don't they. Leaving Boyled egg Green street was the biggest mistake in their star studded history apparently. Bobby Moore must be rolling in his grave watching that ****e.
We have fans who sneer at every club or city who they regard as inferior to us. Little ol' Bournemuff, Watfud, Brightun, the Burnleh Villagers all who are smaller and unworthy compared to big city club City. Anyone who gets larger crowds than us only does so because they are dumps with nothing to do compared to vibrant, buzzing Hull. Then they expect fans of other clubs to empathise with our club and its problems.
No it's not. Our support isn't any different from most clubs of our size. I don't recognise the City fans you describe sneering at Watford etc.
