Made hard work of that win, not a great spectacle today, no shots from either side in first half, 2nd a bit better, Smith should’ve made the win easy instead a nervy last 5mins.
Talking to some Sunderland fans after the game - great travelling support BTW particularly given their team's form - they are pretty angry with the players who they feel have given up We really made hard work of that today. I lost count of our poor passes and the number of times we needlessly put ourselves in danger Reality will dawn on Tuesday night
Sorry the goal was not really that good. The ball into Smith randomly bounced off his ankle, Smith had no idea what was going on....very lucky Eze was bright enough to run on to it and shot pass Camp. Smith has no control over his feet or legs or ankles Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Happy evening celebrating three crucial points. Well done hoops, but poor performance. Ned MOTM for me.
Today was about getting 3 points but an entertaining performance would've been nice especially after Tuesday v Derby. We should've won that comfortably. Smith should've scored but instead of lifting the ball over Camp or going either side of him he hit it straight at him. If Smith hadn't headed the ball in it would've been a goal anyway and we would've scored had their keeper not handled the ball. Onuoha was my man of the match. Not much else to add.
Really happy with result today. 3 points is all that matters. 13 points from relegation. I reckon 1-2 wins should do it now. Bottom 3 are really poor and cant see them winning many.
If we don't get another point Birmingham and Burton will need to find five wins or fourteen points. I can't see that happening Ellers. I think it's safe to say that we can start preparing for next season.
A result was what we needed, performance would have been good too, but I’ll take the points and remember the ones we unjustly lost. Five or six more points and we’ll feel comfortable, but I do fear Tuesday could be very uncomfortable. Well done to Eze on taking his opportunity, he ran with it and made it count - too many have failed at that this season.
Didn’t wake up til the second half, doesn’t sound like I missed much. Don’t think I’ll bother with the full 90 when it’s available. Liking Eze, he so full of confidence just now, hope it doesn’t get knocked out of him. Smyth has so much energy and is fearless. What’s not to like? Mass was a nuisance to them, tackling well and stopping their movement. Ned didn’t put a foot wrong, deserves MOTM. Thought the same as 9s re Smith offside goal, looked like it was heading in til he made sure. Shame, that would have made injury time more bearable although it would have been rough justice for them to get one on target and score at the death. Happy 3 point Saturday
The sooner Sylla returns the better, link him up with Eze and Smyth and we'll have a more dynamic front three...
Well now. If I was the manager, I wouldn't do that because I'd know that as soon as we lost twice and everybody below us suddenly started to win, I'd have fans calling for me to be sacked. What's to prepare? The kids are already in the side. We played a back 4 and didn't concede. It worked . Just about. Continue to give the kids game time and start experimenting when we have 53 points in the bag. The only thing which needs prepping is replacing those who have failed us on the pitch. Again. And those who won't want to be with us next season. Now's the time to do the homework and to persuade the owners. Not at the end of the transfer window.
