Man Utd would have a far better season if Jose had the courage to make that permanent

Nah, I don't think we would be much closer to City.

    Maybe next year <whistle>

If you spent £89m on players that didn't keep Mata out of the side but kept, e.g. Smalling and Jones out, then you might have had a title challenge

If you spent £75m on two CBs that worked together instead of one who thinks he can do what he wants you might not be battling Chelsea for 4th :emoticon-0100-smile

Battling Fatkaku for headers is not as easy as it might seem, and no one would have noticed if we had won the second balls

my issue with Lovren yesterday was throwing guff back at Klopp after Lovren gave away stupid free kicks.
He's done imo. We'll be looking for a replacement in the summer to compete with Matip

I listened to all of the first half and about 15 of the second in the car and caught the last 20 inside Goodison.

Sounded like you created little first half but controlled the game better in the second, I also saw the penalty shouts on MOTD, I wasn’t having the handball but the Felllaini one was a foul imo. Lukaku bossed Lovren which begs the question why was he the one facing him? Given VvD is better in the air?

Knockaert is a gold plated **** btw.

I don't have any issues with how United played yesterday.
We should not be conceding goals like we did against a team that plays that way, that is my gripe.

No shame in drawing against a team away, that spends all that money on players and parks the bus.

Our performance is what pisses me off far more than the result

it's not enough to "control" a game when you are losing and having no penetration, against a team who is conceding the ground. The "control" was a mirage

because Lukaku will just move over to Lovren if we switched CBs, and VVD can't be chasing Lukaku all over the pitch I reckon

    simple really.

    1. we were **** and utd sat back after half time as mourinho is wont to do and we still did nothing.

    2. vvd or lovren.. this is really simlple. if lucky goes on the right side yoy dont just wander off out of position to do the other cbs job. i have never in my life seen that for any team. you might argue klopp swap tbe two cbs but again thats playing utd game.

our failure was ox not helping the rb on his side at all and that rb being in poor positions and getting skinned by rashford.

Maybe, surprised he didn’t even try changing it though. They kept Salah quiet and he’s been your main man all season, that was probably the key in fairness.

Maureen did some good things in planning.
    negated our high press
Singled out Lovren and the side Salah was on to put Rashford against our least experienced player.

Granted we still had to **** up, but it a solid plan, that went for a draw but with at least some plan to get a goal.

But that is the opposition, we didn't do what we needed to do, and lost.

Matic and Young did a very good job keeping Salah silent.

Agree there with Salah, he had young who has pace and if he cut inside, he ran into Matic. Was a good plan

If your CB is being owned in the air from long balls to a dominant striker and you’re not going to alter his marker then you get them to drop off and win the second ball don’t you?
