So I think the referee got them both spot on. The handball is one of those that you sometimes get, and other times you don't. I wouldn't say it was an intentional handball, as his arm didn't move to the ball, it was in a natural position. So to the letter of the law it wasn't a penalty, as it has to be intentional.
