Do you mean Koren WOULD be wasted on the wing? I think he WOULD be wasted on the wing imo. I think your right and he'll go 4-4-2 at best unless he sticks Adebloa up top on his tod.
I actually think tomorrow's game will be good for us. Reading like to play fooball and unlike Palace won't just be happy to come here for a draw or sit on a 1-0 lead. If Reading come and attack then that might bring us out of our shell and make it a decent game. After a good start Reading have suffered a couple of defeats so we shouldn't be fearful of them. It'll be a tough game, but one that we should believe we can win.
Sorry yes Koren would be wasted on the wing and very much like Geovanni we would get the best out of him playing just behind the strikers. Will double check my posts in future!
Reading are slumping just now after a good start. They lost midweek @ Charlton in the cup so add that factor to the Law of averages then a Hull City win is on the cards.
Is it just me or would anybody else like to see Devitt on the right to give us some natural width on that side and allow Koren to play in the centre, I know a lot of people will say Devitt isnt good enough for the bench never mind starting, I just think its worth a shot -------------Basso------------- Rosenoir Chester Hobbs Dudgeon Devitt ---Evans---Koren---Brady ---Adebola/Mclean---Fryatt------
Who was the last manager we had who didn't make some very odd decisions? Dowie with his Kilbane is a winger philosophy? Brown with his 4-6-0 formation? Parkinson with his tactic of insulting his players when we lost? Taylor with his sitting on a 1-goal lead? Managers all appear insane to fans, it's part of the job. Back on topic, I've given up predicting lineups and things and trying to work out what I think will work. Whatever team NP has picked it's always been slow and lothargic and never looked like being an attacking force. I keep saying the players are there and there are very few better squads in this league. I'm still confident that's the case, but something has to change in the way they play. I won't pretend to know what.
The 4312 would be a good attacking formation but you wouldn't want brady in there. The midfield 3 would need to stay fairly narrow to avoid being overrun on the middle meaning brady would be wasted, a better option would be evans.
I agree with your theory but Brady needs to be included in the team somewhere as he is clearly one of our better players and as for Evans he does not seem to have much of an impact in games and I think we need a strong ball winner like Olifinjana, Ashbee of old etc to keep things together in the middle and stop us been over run by the oppositions midfield
Precisely what I was thinking. If people think Brady can play in a midfield 3 (along with Cairney), they haven't been watching the games properly. I'd definitely go 4-4-2, I agree with the OP's team, with McLean up front. Evans in the midfield ahead of McKenna for me, though I can't see him being dropped.
