Yeah, but I consider that the number one priority by a long shot. Ideally, we would do this without relegation. But considering we have been ignoring signs for two years and the owner is new, I’m okay with an extra loud wake up call. But I don’t think we disagree. Optimally yes, it is better to dodge the bullet, stay up and learn from your mistake and never flirt with relegation again. But I’m afraid that we won’t learn, that the team will just try to lower their goals and prioritize survival based on “proven” hard working vets a la Long. That would be a disaster, and would see us relegated anyway. I mean, maybe it’s just sanity preservation on my part too. Trying to find bright sides. But whatever, I’ve made peace with this horror show of a season and I’m not going to mess
At the moment SFC deserve to go down with WBA and West Ham. It seems like all 3 are spineless and clueless.
As bad as Palace are, they stand a good chance thanks to their end-of-year fixtures. Last two are Stoke (A) and WBA (H)...if Stoke flops, those could be matches against two very disinterested and equally awful teams.
It wasn't aimed at you. I'm sorry that you thought it was. It was a comment on the general air of pessimism and that a single win would have people being ridiculously positive. I hate to think that you took it badly. However, you'll be pleased to know that I was upset enough at your response to it that I left the room and, unprovoked, snapped at my daughter for no good reason, so you've done wonders in making me as unhappy as you clearly are. More so, because mine's for good reason. It's OK, though, as I've apologised to her and told her it wasn't her fault. I'll clarify for you: that was aimed at you, you miserable ****er. Vin
Never mind winning football matches it is important that we can be satisfied that the clubs accounts are being properly managed. Perhaps we should have book-keepers and accountants as our heroes rather than footballers. Goals don't matter it is the bottom line on the spreadsheet we should all be cheering. I want to support a team of footballers not a team of ****ing accountants and that is probably why have lost all interest in football.

As a poster, I have known you for years, it was not a personal attack, as your comment wasn't. But it did generalise pretty badly, and got up my nose slightly. Go give the kid a cuddle, and tell her its Pellegrino's fault......everything else seems to be!
Every week I tell myself I've given up on Saints and don't care anymore blah bah etc. Then Saturday rolls around and I've either bought a ticket or watching a crappy live stream from home. Feels like a weird form of punishment to me but I love it just the same. 8 more games of torture left until it all starts again in August.
