Next league game could be fun. Two teams trying to out-do each other in the giving up stakes. When in the trenches, a Saints or a West Ham player wouldn't be my first point of call.
I said he - Gao - is holding a strong hand if he wants to gamble. Chinese people often relish the chance to gamble
I imagine, if you had a severe case of diarrhea, he couldn't inspire you to poo. The bloke does nothing. But, he's not even the real problem, sadly.
The Chinese government is not terribly keen right now on their businessmen gambling on foreign sports teams. He couldn't get his own money out of China to buy the club in the first place.
I was just going to ask the same question. Surely, after today, we can’t still claim that he still has the dressing room on his side?
Yeah, who the hell has the right to be optimistic before a match and make a light-hearted poke at the fickleness of football fans and how the mood could change entirely after just one result? What was I thinking? I should be full of misery and despair all the time. That's the way to get the most out of life. Woe is me. Is that better? Does that make you happier? Vin
Hugely so. Fosun has been able to spend on Wolves because they have a tonne of assets outside of China; Gao had some, which were used as collateral for this purchase, but I doubt very much that he has enough to finance the club beyond that.
Yeah, who the hell has the right to be optimistic before a match _________________________ Felt like a unnecessary dig to me. People have the right to be pessimistic, but to assume they are deluded as well seems rather unfair.
Well that went well. Still, at least we can console ourselves with the fact that we're too good to go down.
