Another home game, against a Reading side who have lost key players in Shane Long and Matt Mills, but kept hold of players like McAnuff and Kebe. Theres no doubt Reading are a strong team, and this game is going to be a tough one.

City who have been frustrated at home so far this season losing to Macclesfield, Blackpool and Crystal Palace, and having failing scoring all of the home games this season we are wanting to see them kick on the season from here. 3 points is looking like a must, or maybe even just a goal would keep the City fans happy for this one.

Pearson has spoke after the match with Crystal Palace about going more direct as a team, which could mean veteran big Dele Adebola could have a starting place alongside Matty Fryatt.

With no new signings coming in this week, it could be a similar team to what we saw against Crystal Palace with a few niggles here and there.

    My expected starting XI :

    -------------Basso-------------
    Rosenoir Chester Hobbs Dudgeon
    Koren ---Evans--Cairney --Brady
    -------Adebola----Fryatt--------

I'd go with that except with Mclean for Adebola, think he will play Mckenna though

I reckon this one has a 0-0 written all over it. Im afraid we will draw a blank in front of goal again and I predict a bore draw, I hope it isnt but given our home form I think this is utterly predictable.

who cares ? i do for starters. the club is in a right old pickle now. NP does not know his backside from his elbow. No striker coach to get our chaps going. If the basics at the club are wrong then it will be all wrong. I think city will win 2-1 not because of anything other than the law of averages. For now that will have to be enough. Come on Nigel get your finger out of your backside and get the chaps motivated. If not then do my job and i shall do yours. Its that that hard.

Depends what type of team we put out, if we go for the 4-5-1 like we did last time we will be looking at a bore draw, but I suspect we're gonna go out and force it after reading some of the comments in HDM this morning.

Still wouldn't rule out Adebola not starting though

He's a good manager, he's had a tough time since joining us, almost wasn't a club, and had players on huge wages. Now look what we have, we only have McShane and Oly on our wage bill with a Premier League wage, and both can do a decent job in the championship. The hardest task was to get rid of Bullard, and look whats happened. He's gone.

Get behind the manager and the club. The motivation on the pitch comes from us!

I'd prefer to see NP play 4-3-1-2

    Basso
    Dudgeon or Dawson
    Hobbs
    Chester
    Rosenior
    *****************
    McKenna
    Cairney
    Brady
    *****************
    Koren
    *****************
    Fryatt
    McClean

i never said NP wasn't a good manager, simply that he doesn't appear to have a plan B when things go pear shape.
i like NP most of time but wish he would be more desisive like we gurls are.

I do have to question NP's team selections at times though despite how much you rate him or how well you think he is doing, he does make some very odd decisions, look at last Saturday for example, played 4-5-1 at HOME against a poor Palace side who had not won away since October 2010 !!!
Then he took off Brady & Cairney our two best players in this game, Cairney won man of the match yet he took him off !!!

Best way to get a result at home is ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK if this word is in NP's dictionary !!!

Agree with what your saying, I think this weekend he has to put his most attacking side out, but at the same time Reading have players who can hurt us.
Brady has shown flashes of what he can do yes, but yet he hasn't done anything with it IMO. Very much so looking forward to getting Cam Stewart back

Never mind a chap up line. I've woken up next to some proper horrors and that 's been my 'first question in the morning' line.

I was a disgrace in my squaddie days .

I posted this on another thread last night. Koren wouldn't be wasted out on the wing and would be a menace behind the strikers, Mclean would give Fryatt some support and we'd get the best out of the midfield 3. I doubt we'll see this, but i expect (hope) we'll see a 4-4-2 formation from the start. If 4-5-1 is even mentioned NP will have some serious explaining to do after his post match comments on being more attacking last week.

Yea, will be good to have Cam Stewart back in the fold and he will give us natural width, then our besr formation would be 4-4-2 and our midfield should be Brady left wing, Cairney in the middle as our play maker alongside a hard man who we need to buy with Cam Stewart wide right on the wing with two strikers up top, I think we would be awesome playing like this !!!

Dont want to sounds down beat and I pray I am wrong but my prediction for tomorrow is City 0 - 2 Reading !!!

Your also right in what you say, Reading are a great team, I really like McAnuff and always have, he is very dangerous as well as others.
