Ok so we've finally seen some movement in the transfer window. Adebayor signing signals, for me, the first essential strengthening of our squad. Freidel was a shrewd move well done and Modric is going nowhere, for now.

We have some new youngsters and the young spanish midfielder in on loan.

Harry says we are still trying for a couple more.

My question to you folks is, what other strengthening would need to happen for you be happy with this window?

Another striker (hopefully Leandro) to replace Pav and Crouch - both of whom are pretty useless, IMO. And, we certainly need another holding midfield player. We look extremely vulnerable in the midfield when Sandro is not available.

Agreed, except I'd sell Defoe before Pav.

    First post - woohoo!

I'd agree with what's pretty much been said - Bring in a new striker, sell Crouch and Pav.

Maybe an ageing DM, someone who can appreciate they won't play week in week out but someone who can step up when needed and help players like Sandro etc to develop. Someone like Senna.

Maybe bring in another winger to compete with Lennon (providing we shift Bentley) as it feels to me he's getting a bit complacent and not showing the explosive side we know he has.

Good shout newbie!.... a more experienced DM would be good... like the Davids signing a few years ago.. can bring on our current crop of DM's too.. Sandro is immense and i think the likes of Diarra, although a great player, would halt his progress.

Also, after last nights inept finishing display by Super Pav... he surely has to go, i honestly think he is championship quality... very poor... all his attempts last night were miles off the radar. keep defoe as he is a out and out finisher and sell Pav and crouch. Damiao would be a good signing and bring Kane through, he looked good..

Cheers dude. Haha fair enough, I can see why! Maybe Elia of Hamburg? Seems a lively player whenever I've seen him.

Yeah the David's effect is bang on.
I've never been a fan of Pav. Can pull off some unreal strikes but his first touch and general play is poor more often than not, and his strike rate is pony. Damiao seems the most viable option, saw him in a few games and looks a handful for defenders.

haha do it! I've always wanted to post a poll asking "who is your favourite female SSN presenter?" - but this is a tottenham hotspur forum and i'd get slated regardless. at least yours has "spurs" as part of the topic!

I don't know why we don't just accept the first half-way reasonable offer we see for him. I've never been a fan, sure he pulls off the occasional stunner - but they're very occasional. Mostly, he has the first touch of a JCB, and looks like he can't be bothered most of the time.

Is it just me or does Super Pav never smile? He always seems miserable, even when celebrating (a rarity I know).

I`d keep Crouch and Defoe over Pav for a few reasons, Pav scores the odd wonder goal but his overall play is abysmal (much like Crouch), and his work rate is poor. Also Defoe is a natural goal scorer and Crouch does have his uses in certain games and they are both English which helps with homegrown rules.

I`d love Adebayor, Leandro and Defoe to choose from with VDV as second striker and Kane, Coubaylme as back up.

I've noticed that nobody mentioned Parker. Yet we are in talks . . . Hmmm

Does nobody want a new CB to come in? If so, who?
