I think ear pieces are magic. It's just a wire to a magnet, but music comes out. Get two of them, and there's music dancing round your head, or the noise of a dinosaur creeping up behind. Now with wireless ones, they pluck it all out of the air, so all those noises, like orchestras and animals must be all around us.

There was a programme a few years ago, that was on about the time it takes radio waves to travel through space, and he calculated how many years it'd be before our activities will be registered, and aliens will be using their advanced technology to tune in to I love Lucy.
It's not difficult to do the calculations. Distances to stars are measured in light-years. One light-year is the distance that light travels in one year. Radio waves travel at the same velocity as light. It will take TV signals 50 years to travel to a solar system 50 light-years away.
Do these aliens pay for their TV licence ? They probably use one of Patty's streams - the thieving scoundrels.
