Got a letter this morning from the club stating the premier concourse will be closed next season (to create a better atmosphere) and I have to find another seat at about the same cost, so no reduction then ? for league 1 or 3rd division or whatever fancy name you dress it up in. Accrington Stanley might be our first team next season, wow.
At what point do we have a situation where its not financially feasible to stage games at the SOL. Its got to be close right now I would have thought
How fecking depressing. Our clubs crumbling beneath us and its painful to watch. Does that mean all the auld deviants like yourself are going to be mixing with all the normal people?. I thought they put you lot up there out the way of the family enclosure for a reason?
Well I for one said they should have done this this season as soon as crowds were below 34k. Standard club being as quick off the mark as a slug wearing stilettos.
Can see what they’re doing and it makes sense to me but it’s nowt to do with atmosphere it’s about cost cutting. Agree with Nads - this as a no brainer and should have happened this season. Seriously considering cancelling the season cards if the price doesn’t come down by at least £5 per game.
I'll be moving to my 6th different season ticket seat next year, the second time forced by the club, but this time I totally back the club' decision and would have been moving down to the lower bowl regardless. I just wish that they'd offered the same deal to fans in the south stand and moved the away fans back down there.
If the prices aren't reduced next year it's lunacy. Yes the club may be financially in the clarts but the loss of ticket price would be buffered by a less reduced attendance which isn't just people buying tickets but merchandise/ food etc. It also smacks of a lack of goodwill if they don't reduce the costs - is it really not going down?
Southampton,West Ham,New Castle,Crystal Palace,West Brom are all currently in the bottom eight of the premiership but what do they all have in common?
Got a mate who's a Notts County fan. The prices in League 2 are similar to the Championship, apparently, largely due to the reliance on gate money instead of TV dosh. In short, don't hold your breath mate...
Yes which is massively dissapointing and contradicts the notion that the club want to improve the atmosphere. They should have moved them back to the south stand
