The services/agencies practice major incident responses quite often, not surprisingly as they are pretty complicated. Normally the fictional scenarios are so random that no one thinks anything so ridiculous could possibly happen. Then they turn out to be pretty tame compared to real life.
Has A&E reopened do you know? The pictures on the news were of soldiers all over the ramp going up to the A&E entrance.
I should post a picture of my new (only) granddaughter (now 3 weeks old) wearing her Saints gro-suit. Hopefully that’ll imprive my likes ratio
Lol like this...grandson no1 aged 1 last year before the Cup semi: please log in to view this image [emoji16]
It’s just that a city the size of Salisbury needs an A&E department, and I can’t see how ambulances could get up to the entrance with all those soldiers in the way!
I’m on the scrounge, I’m afraid, good people! I’m done my a charity walk around Broadlands, Romsey, in June, raising money for the Countess Mountbatten Hospice, where my sister was so well looked after in the last week of her life. Hospices like this do an amazing job and, because of this, I have pledged to match £ for £ the money I raise for Countess Mountbatten Hospice and donate it to the Willen Hospice, Milton Keynes, where my friend, Mark Jarman, died after a long and painful fight against cancer. Please give even the smallest amount you can afford to my just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/David-Goodhand Many thanks!
Good luck Dave. Maybe make a separate thread to maximise the people that see it that might be able to donate. Could easily get lost in here.
Thanks, RSS. Good idea, though I don’t want to make a big thing of asking for money. I know many people are pretty hard up these days! I’ll think about it. Cheers
21st Mother's Day without my Mum Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there. Make the most of your mum if you're lucky enough to still have her around.
Thanks, RSS. I’m lucky enough to have my Mum who’s 95 and still going strong. I’m sure your Mum would have been very proud of her son remembering her. Happy Mother’s Day, indeed, to all Mums out there.
Kind words Dave, appreciated. Sadly my time with my mum was all too short. I've lived three times as many years without my mum than with. Good on her, 95 is grand old age!
