Oslo, I think that Ollie may stick with the flat back four which was very effective against Derby, especially the second half with the younger players (Furlong, Smyth & Sylla) in a 4-3-3 attacking and 4-5-1 defesnsive formation. He may wish to introduce the young players later and start with more experiecne, for example Paweł. I will be suprised if he starts with a 3-5-2 formation. But then, Ollie likes to surprise!
If you had seen the whole game, I am sure you would not want a 352 formation. We outplayed Derby and looked solid. The players looked comfortable for the first time in a long time. Watch the whole match, Ossie!
I should be able to watch tomorrow stream permitting. I don't think we should need more than 3 out and out defenders home to the bottom Club, but we do need more width in attack.
I meant watch the whole of the Derby game and see how differently the players performed: https://www.qpr.co.uk/videos/highlights/all-90-minutes-qpr-v-derby-county/
Sunderland aren't anywhere near Forest who on their day are pretty decent. They are bottom of the League and have conceded more than any team in the Division. This ought to be a game we not only dominate but score a few in.
I find it hard to understand the clamour to have Sylla back in the side. Apart from a couple of goals he is every bit as frustrating as Washington. I'm hoping that Matt Smith gets an easier ride than he did on Tuesday and that Smyth can feed off him. Long term we need fresh blood up front and both Washington and Sylla can move on to League 1 which is probably about the right level. Of course, should we still go down then we have a ready made strike force...
Let us think Sylla or Lynch.. Sylla gets my vote as the 70 minute substitute... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
I think Lynch maybe used as a makeshift targetman again on 80 minutes as Sylla isn't fully fit. Sent from my Ceefax-BBC using T*%t$a&k
No doubt Sunderland are absolute ****e nine games out of ten but they do have some good players, at least on paper, and some promising youngsters. A draw is no good to them so it should be open.
Just watched it. We played too narrow in attack again imo. Hope we see Eze with Pawel wide right and Freeman playing wide left today.
