An example would be online,criticizing a businessman\politician for using a tax loophole. When realistically if you could avail of that loophole yourself, you would in a flash. Denying the truth, that we all want to pay as little taxes as possible

I’d call that projecting your own moral code and beliefs on others and assuming that everyone thinks as you do.

They don’t and believe it or not some people have something called integrity.

I’ll file digital altruism along with virtue signalling, as some bollocks twitter inspired buzz phrase of the alt right.

It varies, there are the digital moralists\altruists, like the pervert liberals who have been outted in recent months (Kevin Spacey the **** for example, or the long list of male feminists who have been outed) who tweeted that Trump's grab the pussy tape was revolting and horrible, only to be slammed with claims of sexual assault themselves only months later.

Then there are the pathological altruists who RAGE and share DISGUST about people, holding them to inhuman sterile nuance-less standards no human achieves, while not even coming close to meeting those standards themselves. The Luis Suarez Evra thing brought them out of the woodwork <laugh>

Then there are just good old moral grand standers who are in situations where they can afford to meet the standards others can't, like JK Rowling and Lilly Allen (who both live in the whitest parts of Britain you can find) on mass unchecked immigration for example, who never ever has to deal with the consequences while those that have issues with it, do have to deal with the consequences.

There are several levels.

pathological altruism is defined maybe as shameless lying altruism, holding others to standards YOU KNOW you have NOT met yourself, and vilifying them for not meeting those standards you KNOW you can't meet

One example of pathological Altruism is those slamming people as monsters because they back fossil fuel benefits, over global warming, while they drive fly and use all the benefits of fossil fuels themselves, with no intention of ever giving them up.

They lie, they know they lie, but they don't care because lying allows them to project this altruism and so obtain some fictional moral high ground they believe allows them to win\be superior\whatever end they are aiming for, without any guilt whatsoever

It’s also a very convenient way of using whataboutery to deflect attention away from the act being highlighted and point the finger at the person highlighting it.

See Jo Coxs husband for details and the fact that his wife’s murder by a far right terrorist made page 31 in the Daily Nazi, but his alleged sexual harassment made their front page, as the man had the temerity to speak out about the far right!

Both phrases have been bandied around in similar contexts by alt right bulbs on twitter.

Google search results on many topics are 100% non organic

The fact is this, Kim is a bluffer, and he's basically had his bluff called by Trump (love him or hate him, he called Kim's bluff)

I do wonder how much of the communist part of Obama's brain (a brain that cant operate without a teleprompter) tempered his responses to KJU :bandit:
