You know things are bad at Leeds when fans want the 3rd or even 4th choice keeper to carry on for the rest of the season. A bit of reality needed here. Yes chuffed for him as he stood out as the best player we had. He's 23 years old and should be first choice by now if he was good enough. He has stagnated at the club and even earlier this week he had PH give him the hard word about his career and why he was going backwards and he should man up, work harder and get his career back on track. Earlier this season he was loaned out to York City and only played for games conceding 9 goals before he came back to Leeds. Landskrona wanted to buy him so he said his goodbyes and flew off. Within 3 days they decided he wasn't good enough and sent him home. So if he aint good enough for a Sunday League outfit at the back of beyond, why is he now Lev Yashin
Shows how bad recruiting of our number one and two keepers were, just like our LB and strikers, Grot, Ekuban, Lasogga reserved judgement on Taylor. Cibicki, Klitch, Sacko, we have invested pretty poorly on the whole. Keepers mature late, we’ve allowed a few good young keepers to leave early who went on to become better, I don’t feel he will be good enough but let’s give him the remainder of the season and with the Leeds fans behind him it might give him that buzz to pull his socks up and be our number one
Because all of that still makes him better than Wibblewobble Like you I suspect he’ll get found out but might as well see
Good enough on his 1 game, that's all we can go by,one game at a time. But even if he has a great 10 games,we still need another good keeper,as the other 2 aren't good enough.
Firstly he was 21 in November, not 23. He’s a Late developer and only stopped growing last year. He has zero ‘man’s football’ experience. The club have always rated his ability. The season is dead. They should tell him the shirt is his til the end of the season to give him some confidence and see how it goes. He’ll make mistakes.., he did on wed. But so will the others. Might as well find out if he’s going to cut it by giving the lad a chance. At the end of the season take a view on him.
