Salah has been the best signing of the window by a country mile ... you can't argue with the stats ....simples Matic is a good signing ... but by United's expected standards nothing much more than 'good' ... certainly doesn't even get close to Salah in terms of who has been the best this season IMHO... Matthew tends to wear these where United are concerned methinks please log in to view this image Sanchez at Spurs I'd place above Matic in terms of the performances I've seen personally ... Richarlison at Watford was very good early on but has faded markedly as the season has progressed Moving on a tangent ... the player I think is almost up there with Salah in terms of the impact he has had for his club this season would be Son Heung-Min at Spurs ... he has been superb for me and I don't understand why the gloom and doom pundits and press keep banging on about "if Harry gets injured" ... Son has been on fire and some of his finishing is absolutely top drawer .. .
Sanchez has felt like a bargain at £40m for me. It's no secret we've often ****ed up royally when splashing large sums in the past but he's been worth every penny and some in my opinion. Slotted in instantly and hasn't looked out of place, he's had one or two shaky games - which CB doesn't - but in general his all round displays have been excellent, especially considering his age. With Toby having been out for so long it's also felt like a stroke of luck that we got him. I think he's only missed one or two Prem games since he joined and when you consider we sold Walker in the summer and have been without Toby for long periods, coupled by the fact Aurier has moments of madness when he plays, we've still managed to keep high defensive standards, third best in the Prem I think, and Sanchez has more than played his part in that.
Yeah we absolutely love the guy, most fans have been talking about how he should be next in line for a new contract. Him, Kane, Davies and Vertonghen have been our standout stars this season. Any one of them could win our POTS when members vote.
Don't get me wrong, I think he's been fine. But to me he just looks like a bit of a Mangala. Can pass it well enough but is mainly just an absolute unit that can probably do the 100m in 11 seconds. I think his pace and strength covers his arse. Can't say I've seen him play that much, mainly because I don't really keep an eye out for him.
Mate if he was a Mangala we'd be bottom four at the moment and not top four . Yeah his pace is definitely a huge part of his game and it's more than covered his arse on occasions, though I think that's just how he plays, he knows he can catch 95% of attackers so he allows himself to push further up at times. Some South American pundit wrote up on him when he signed for us, they said how he's a new breed of CB due to his style and having seen him play for most of a season now I can see what they meant. Still got acres to improve on but it's pretty exciting to see how far he can go in the game if he continues to progress.
Other than the Chelsea game recently where he was superb he doesn't do enough in the big games and he tends to have periods where he isn't scoring and offers very little to the team at that point. Anyway Salah? Signing of the season? You seem to be avoiding this.
To be fair, He got us back in the Chelsea game, He also scored the equaliser on Monday night, That was a good finish.
Without taking winning into consideration at this point, the Salah deal is by far the best deal. Otherwise it's Ederson.
...if this was a thread solely about Manchester United's best signing of the season possibly ... in the general sense not really for me ....
