What to talk about today, well for a start I slept in again so I am so far in the bad books with the boy my life will be hell today, not a good start.

I looked through the posts and thought I should put my mods hat on and do some banning, pictures of a topless Gail off Coronation Street and flippant threads, disgraceful and not in keeping with the ethos of this forum. Unfortunately on closer inspection I found it was me who posted them so best say nowt.

The gossip colums are eerily quiet on the Sunderland transfer foot so no talking points there.

Cant see the Bruce being sacked this side of the weekend, is there anything more to say on the subject, well not before Saturday evening I fear.

All I am left with is the X Factor, Big Brother or Saturdays game, I don’t watch the first two so by process of elimination I am left with Swansea on Saturday.

A win would be nice but a performance is a neccessaty IMO, we have heard, a response, the boys have looked determined in training, we are determined to put it right, time to kick start the season, all good words but all worthless if its not transmitted to the pitch on a Saturday.

At the back we should have O’Shea, Brown and Bardsley in there with I would guess Anton, that back 4 leaves no room for excuses in my eyes, solid and focus is what I expect.

A middle two of Catts/Gardner or Colback, I expect it to be Gardner is just about our number one choice so again no room for excuses. Larssen on his favoured right wing and either Richardson or Sess depending on formation should give balance.

Up front Gyan is really in need of a performance, the pressure is on but he gets paid a lot of dosh to handle it, time to start earning.

Sess, Ji or Wickham along side him need to fire and for me it would be unfair to put the pressure on a 18 year old or Korean who is still new so I would stick with the Gyan/Sess pairing just because I cant find a better one right now.

Lots of should in there and still second options up front because we have still not bought the first choice, a proven striker.

Well that’s me done, pull me apart but gentle please, I am a fragile soul.

Sorry Shameless. Just trying to prove to the boss I'm still whippet-quick and still available for the team.

Swansea play open attacking footie, so 2 things could happen on saturday.

Gyan will find his shooting boots, and give us a 1 goal advantage. This will start a deluge of shots on the swansea goal, hopefully with a few of them going in (not like when we blackpool at home, and peppered their goal with no actual goals scored). 1-3 win to the lads if not 1-4.
    or
Our strikers (Gyan and Sess) will leave their boots at home, Anton will have one of his off days and Swansea will win it 2-0.

Can't see this game being a goalless draw, nor a score draw.

I know one or two of you know my opinions on what should happen at our club, but if we put it in the following light....

IF the results v Liverpool and Toon were reversed; it wouldn't be great, but it would be better.

Ok, we shouldn't have got beaten off Brighton.

A win tomorrow is a MUST for me, and would go some way to restoring a sort of normality.

    Agreed?

Especially as there were probably a few hair driers being thrown around in the dressing room at Brighton - that would be the players throwing them at Bruce - though they probably missed the target!
