Dissapointing of course it always leaves you feeling flat, but as Roo rightly says we should be proud of our team for what they have achieved in CL this season.

Yep, the disappointment at our demise
but if you told us the campaign would have
ended as it has when the group stage was
drawn, I would have been happy with that.

    BBC already pissing me off:

606 phone in we ask: "What's stopping Spurs from taking the step up to the next level?"

Erm...the fact that we were drawn against one of the most experienced sides in the history of the competition, Serie A winners 3 seasons running and CL runners-up twice running. I'd say that's a pretty big step and, 3 minutes of panic aside, we were by far the better team across both legs.

Give us someone **** like Basel or Porto and we'll see what's what.

No excuse not to go all-in now for the FA Cup.

That’s the only thing that leaves a sour taste. Man united finishing 6th in the league, and still to this day they haven’t had a difficult game in the competition yet. <laugh>

Juventus certainly know how to get the job done, they were clinical in front of goal, created 2 chances and took them both. That combined with their dirty tactics and gamesmanship, we needed a strong referee but didn`t get one sadly. He made many errors (including a penalty for Juve not given), as well as failing to see (or doing nothing about) the double stamp on Son, and fell for the Juve players` falling over every single time.

We should learn a lot from tonight, and so should Poch who failed to react to their substitutions quick enough. We are not clinical enough in front of goal at this level and Dembele having a quiet night is one of the reasons we lost.

The likes of United and Pool will get a harsh wake-up call when they come up against the likes of Bayern, Real and Barca. I can't see Juve progressing beyond the QF as frankly they really aren't that good. But what we've seen this evening and what Real have shown against PSG is that the most experienced teams just have a way of cranking it up that extra notch when the going gets rough.

IMHO the CL opposition has forced the squad
to raise their game throughout this season.

Last season I feel there was an element of
complacency about the opposition, so we
    failed badly.

Juve were just clinical. They aren’t glamorous and won’t out play the top teams at this level, but they have their own way of getting results and they’ve shown that time and time again. Hopefully we’ll learn from that, and if we make the CL next year the draw will be a bit more kind to us.

gutted but really enjoyed the CL ride.

They were awesome in the 2nd half...was a masterclass in how to play an away leg.

can't really complain about Kane being unlucky cos in the ground it looked like we were well lucky with the penalty.

The best team went through on the night

  15. Right, the CL campaign is over and we came up short. But we did well - really well to get this far and losing to Juve is never a disgrace, especially when we have played well.
What will show me whether this team has the cojones to go on from here is how we react at the weekend. Nothing short of a commanding performance will do. C’mon lads - bounce back and show us what you’re made of :emoticon-0165-muscl

Actually the two games showed how the
Juventus strength is also a weakness.

They got in front tonight, and could hold out
til the end. But at home they could not resist
Spurs for a good 60 mins remaining.

For Spurs the lesson is you need to be far
more clinical in attack at this level of game.

Chiellini bossed kane over both legs to be fair. Not many can say they’ve done that recently. He was outstanding.

Not the sort of football I’d wanna watch each week, but a top side with some excellent players, who knew what they needed to do, and used past experience to do it. Best of luck to them.

Absolutely gutted that we have gone out. Much the better side over the two legs.

Lack of experience and game management cost us, we dominated for 140 minutes over the two legs where two 10 minute spells have killed us. Mini capitualtions and not reacting and taking the pressure off.

We are an outstanding young side, so much energy pace and skill but theres no wily heads there in our side,

With so many superb attackers on show it was Chiellini that was the difference between the two sides, that old head who knows how to win ugly.

We must react to this and ensure our season finishes well. Top four is a MUST .
If we can get past Swansea away we will be at home for the semi and final and theres no Man City, the FA cup is certainly winnable.

Sad ending tonight lads but a great campaign over-all. I have enjoyed watching your games this season because most were against good teams, not walkovers like some of us have had, see you in the FA final with any luck <cheers>

So disappointing. Looked like a very good chance for us. I couldn't believe that we would let a 1-0 lead slip the way we have been playing. But....back to the drawing board!
I can remember being outrefereed in 1962 and our centerforward sent off early against Real a few years ago which did us no good and now this one.
Perhaps, like PSG,we are very good in our league but not good enough in the CL!........I hope we can hold Swansea!!!!!?
