Think it was more a protest at how his team had lumps kicked out of them for a few games more than anything, which he had a point about. I may be mistaken but I think he has given quite a few minutes to some young players in his time there (especially when you consider how good the first team is) Zinchenko and Foden this season off the top of my head and can think of 1 or 2 others getting some game time as well, so I don't think the naming 6 subs was to do with "oh I need to spend more money". With the smaller club thing, I don't think it is patronising he is just more used to the Spanish mentality of every team trying to play a certain way, which means that the smaller teams tend to get smashed by the Barca/Reals. I think he is starting to come around to the way of thinking of most of the league (maybe all the league based on how Chelsea played against them). He said in an interview that the PL is the most defensive league in his view, and I agree with him. Think people just don't like him, which is fine, I have that with managers to. But when some say he is a fraud then they really are letting their bias against him over shadow his achievements.
I’ve always says that the mark of a good manager is the improvement of players under their stewardship. Hence why I think Pep and Poch are the two best in the league.
Pep is a tosser. Read his lies bout B teams in Spain when he was trying to make the case for the same in Britain. Banging on about high attendances when it isn;t true at all.
Disagree!! A guy who took a year out of the game and went to New York to learn English, who has a certain level of French and is more coherent than Allardyce when being interviewed is not really indicative of being a "toser" in my view. In my view he comes across as being very intelligent, studious, maybe aloof but in a way that is complementary. Tossers are some "Tory politicians" such as Boris, JRM and the sitting MP for Southampton Itchen!
Yeah yeah, but the Redmond scene, the Wigan defeat amongst others, in my experience you often get to see the real person under pressure. He does not come across well when under pressure.
And that is exactly why VAR is needed. How on earth did the extra official miss that foul from Vertonghen?
God knows why Poch has been starting Lamela (and Alli) ahead of Son recently. I'd actually be tempted to put Son in my team of the season, alongside KDB, Salah and Kane.
I'd put Lamela on now, he'll cause them some problems, probably get one of them sent off as well. I want ET.
Gem from Hoddle there: "there's no doubt the tie has changed now" Yeah Glenn, two goals in 3 minutes will do that
