Morning all So last night saw another nail in our seasons coffin as Midds, Brentford, Cardiff, Fulham, Preston and Villa all waltzed home and even Nilwall won again. Fulham are again regarded as the best footballing side in the league which is down to the manager. Monks Birmingham were beaten by Midds and it was tough seeing Pep Clotet on twitter praising his new home at St Andrews. So tonight we play the winners of this league and are expected to get beaten again, but the way we get beaten is what really matters tonight. Lets face it PH may have sorted everything out, got his message over and we actually may win, but odds on that? The gulf between Wolves and Leeds is down to money a bent agent and breaking FFP rules, but if it works they wont even bother about the fine as they win the lottery in football terms. Steve Bruce has a team of a few top championship players with some good players and hes made them into a winning team almost certain of promotion. Difference between Villa and us is the manager and a couple of top players on big wages. Lets hope our manager can get himself into that small group of managers who can punch above their weight, like the guy at Fulham
With the way PH is talking at the pre match prezzer and in an interview in the YEP, I think we can say that anyone who under performs tonight is history. We lose tonight as expected we are 9 points off the play offs and not enough games to do it, so experiment time for next season. I expect a couple of changes anyway and I hope to see LDB back because Anita just cant be a full back. Forshaw and LDB have not been on a winning team yet since joining. One of the best footballers at the club is Tom Pearce who can play at RB midfield or even up front, so I expect to see him at some stage soon. Another kid I dont know much about is a regular for the u23s and plays at RB which is why Pearce is playing elsewhere a kid we brought in from Palace, Bryce Hosanah. 20 year old and expected to be a future star. The reason Palace let him go is because they had another 20 year old right back and he played brilliantly against Man Utd the other day. If they are good enough they are old enough
Morning all. Chances are we are going to lose tonight but at this point I'm more concerned with performances. I need, in the next 10 games, to see improvement under By Heck. 10 games to set the groundwork for next season. Either by blooding a couple of our best youngsters or polishing a couple of our current turds.
Morning Ell & Everyone.Like most of us now have given up on the idea of a top six finish,i think tonights performance against the top team of the division,will tell who wants to play here next season.The ones that can't/won't put a shift in need to be moved on asap for the challenge of next season,Radz now needs to be ruthless as we need one or two flair players which we have,and plenty of grafters which we don't at the moment.could be last chance saloon for some of the team tonight.
The 4 year contracts could be a problem and it also depends on who Rads listens to... End of the season PH says to Rads half the team is no good... Does Rads sack or bollock Orta or does Orta say no they are good enough, the coach isn’t getting the best out of them...
Christ yeah the spectre of those bloody four year contracts,if that was on Ortas advice he needs to go just for that.
