Yeah spot on, but gotta feel sorry for those that went, they had every right to expect more from us despite our massive aggregate lead.
Maybe, but there's something to be said for game management. We have another 5 games to play, and that's just in the CL
It's that no win situation isn't it. You don't want to disrespect them by putting out a b team think Klopp said that but they are exactly the players that wouldn't be protecting themselves with United in mind 5-0 up. But then if you pick them and they get beat then you're told you're disrespecting the fomo fans anyway.. And then if they'd gone full tilt and a mane or firmino gets injured we'd complain it was pointless.....because I whinged anyway jyst because he brought Salah on lol
Yup....look the teams that will be left now will all be more than enough for our midfield/defensive weaknesses and all rightly scared **** of us attacking them. Entertaining woohooo
This isn't a defeatist question in anyway. .I'm a it ain't over until chubby warbling girl comes on but in at the start of the season would 1/4 Have been taken on here? obviously now we think it's possible to at least outscore anyone but in August would this have been seen as good?
Its hard one and I think most fans that went despite being bit annoyed will accept that if we go and beat united at the weekend. Would be nice if the club did something for them, maybe a small discount on their next game or somethings. If theyd gone and sene us win by 2 or 3 goals but picked up a couple knocks to key players Would they have been happier with that then a bit of a dull 0-0?
Yeah, rock and a hard place situation, the bigger picture was more important than tonight because the tie was basically all over before they kicked off, taking about "knocks" I thought it was a bit of a crazy move bringing Salah on, but then again Klopp is a bit crazy.
Obviously no where but you see the reaction here when Salah comes on for 15 mins... imagine if he’d started. Klopp has to look ol at the bigger picture and keeping the squad fit and happpy is of far greater importance. Would hardlt even call it a weak squad to be fair, mane, Firm, hendo, lallana, milner, Can.. the team just managed the game and it’s what we’ve been crying out for all season when up by a couple of goals that we see games out rather than going gung go to score even more and end up conceding a few. This was the performance that we should be doing in games when winning against arsenal. It’s nice for the team to show that composure and intelligence.
My original "exciting" comment was tongue-in-cheek. The game was more or less what I expected, though I would have preferred a bit more entertainment. I'm just pointing out that you're not risking injury playing attractive football any more than any other type. You're not the only one to utilise a false dichotomy to try and make a point, but it just doesn't follow. Perhaps people would have preferred us to rest all our key players just in case, but there's an argument that that can upset the momentum of the team whilst they're on a roll.
