Mitro summed it up well. Fulham play with freedom, we are about discipline. I’ll be honest, I’d rather watch a free flowing attempt at promotion than a disciplined attempt to survive all day long.
For those that say that Mitrovic has found his level - He was scoring in the Champions League against top sides before he joined us and has been banging them in for Serbia. Plus, he has scored more PL goals for us than both Gayle and Joselu.
I think everybody agrees it's pretty simply Rafa or Mitrovic. Personally I'm still to be fully convinced by either, but the latter has considerably more to prove.
Oh dear. Fulham change their style of play slightly to accommodate Mitrovic by playing to his strengths and shock horror, he scores for the 4th game in a row. Please let the lad end up on 10-15 goals at the end of the season. Rafa the genius my arse
Tom Cairney - 26. We try to sign him from Fulham and reportedly get quoted £20m+ Mitrovic is 23. If he stars for Fulham for a little while then we should get our money back on him. If Fulham get promoted I reckon £10m+ is a minimum, I'd prefer him to get a chance with us but if not then sell him in the summer when his stock may be highest and clear his wages.
Amazing. Make Mitrovic the focus and he will score. Partizan, Anderlecht, Serbia and now Fulham worked that one out. Nevermind - We get to watch ****ing Joselu for the rest of the season.
If he keeps going like this, I think saying he has found his level is a bit comical. He has already done ok at PL level at 21 (10 in 22 starts with 17 sub apps ish?) Already done well for Anderlecht, Partizan and Serbia. For whatever reason Rafa doesn’t know how to manage him. Just one of those things. Some managers and players are like oil and water. Doesn’t make either bad at their respective trades. I can’t hide I’d be disappointed though if we went down due to a lack of goals while Fulham challenge in the league below on the back of a striker we own.
Watch Fulham get promoted via Mitro's goals. Just because he doesn't 'wo I am actually a little peeved myself. I think it comes down to stubborness. Rafa wants to show that his system works. Unfortunately, his system does not allow someone like Mitrovic to thrive. Fulham have at least made concessions to bring out the best in Mitro.
We'll probably never know the real reasons why he's not played and been sent out on loan. I'm confident Rafa will have good reasons but we don't know what they are. I would have preferred he had come good here, though, like everyone else.
