Not saying you're wrong in getting pearson in, though still think we should give eckybum a chance, but he didn't get the players in a Leicester, the bloke now doing the same job at Everton did. Most clubs operate a similar type of model these days.

Its a different game so, if you're a miserable sod (not that we have any ) you could say they wouldn't, but my view is the really good players had both the skill and the temperament to succeed in whatever environment they were placed in. Some like Eddie would get a lot more protection for their skills than they got then, too.
