My hobbies are basically all sport related. I'll go to the gym 4/5 times a week and play football 3 times, apart from that I am pretty lazy and quite happy relaxing at home with 1 night down the pub with mates (usually after football on a Saturday) on a "normal" week. I tried going along to the pub when I wasn't drinking but there is only so much Ribena or whatever you can drink in a pub and as people get more pissed the whole thing becomes boring I found. Interesting you said that your mates don't go out as much now they are in their 30's. I'm 29 and most of my mates are slightly older and they go out more than ever now
Yeah considering it. I only tend to have a 2-3 beers on a saturday night now when I get back from work. But to be honest, they are kind of losing their appeal. Might go a few weeks without it and see if I miss it.
I reckon you'll find it quite easy mate. All depends what you do to keep busy. I trade alcohol for good quality coffee now!
Yeah my mates just don't really. 4 of us did pop down the pub most weeks but not been for a while. Uusally a few of us go to my mates to watch 007 weekly, I go to the football once or twice a month on Saturday. I do a lot of fishing too which keep me busy, and generally going to events and seeing mates. Start of the year not great anyway as people are still putting Christmas behind them and peoples also trying to buy houses.
Yeah I won’t be drinking coffee at 10pm, but I get the sentiment. I like to have a few beers to unwind at the end of the week, but even 2-3 beers and I tend to wake up a bit jaded. Would rather wake up Sunday and get on it.
Been wiped out by a bug for the last week or so. Al the cold/snow bollocks didn't help towards the end of last week and I did think I was just run down and hungover from being forced to go to the pub early and stay there last Thursday but have been coughing up lime green mess and had stinking headaches and aching knees and arms till pretty much this morning, when I've felt slightly more human. Guess I had/have flu of some sort, no idea? Haven't felt great though and still can't shake the cough. As such, week off the old exercise. Having a complete 'rest'. Will get back properly into it next week.
I would say probably yes but it's not often I feel this bad. I'm no wimp, I don't get man flu and I dont take days off work, ever. It's more than a cold, although I agree it's doubtful it's proper full blown flu.
It’s probably that Australian thing that’s been doing the rounds. I had it. Lasts a week. The cough, unfortunately, lasts forever.
Don't do it Comm - sounds like all you need to do is take an extra hour of overtime a day and you can ignore this thread. It's just for us desk-bound twats who have to actually put some effort into staying fit.
