Well its not like he did much from what we could see but officially off the board with Companies House. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...s/bob-moncur-leaves-newcastle-united-14371076 Seems to have happened at the end of last season but it does confirm that we basically have NO Board bar Charnley and that Barnes and Bishop are in communication with Ashley regarding the goings on at SJP. Thoughts?
It means that the Football Board, that was set up three years ago, is no longer in operation and Rafa Benitez is working with Ashley and Charnley when it comes to recruitment and football decisions. Benitez submits requests to Charnley who then requires final approval from Ashley via PR man Keith Bishop and Sports Direct aide Justin Barnes. Madness. So Charnley is getting told no on transfers but through Bishop and Barnes. 'The board' is effectively a PR guru, a deal-broker and their simple but subservient lackey. How many other prem teams are boasting that? I'd say only West Brom's boner for anyone old and **** is a worse set-up.
We'd be slightly below Barnet and having to listen to pouchy tell us how terrible Pardew is and always had been. If we'd all just listened to him in the first place and protested hard to get Pardew out perhaps we could have avoided implosion.
Never really figured out what a Board of Directors do anyway. Key players in any company are always the CEO and CFO. Rest of them are only there to give a semblance of integrity and independence. Would suspect that Moncur was only there as an emblem of club's history who could be dragged out to impress supporters at any supporter-board forums (do those happen anymore?).
C.E.O., M.D. or any other acronym that we care to use spells one thing. Ashley is and always will be a C.U.N.T.
