The man in possession keeps the shirt until he has a stinker or is injured or something.

Krul made some great saves but as most people have said his distribution was poor and occasionally his decision making, especially with corners is dubious to say the least.

Krul recently played for the Dutch first team as well and did not put a foot wrong for 2 games...I can see him becoming the dutch number 1 and when that happens... hopefully we can keep him..He made mistakes last year and learnt from them...He's looking great at the moment...2 cleansheets already in the league.

Will end up top class. As I've said many times I rate Harper highly and think he is very unlucky but we can't afford to lose a talent like Krul. I always liken it to the situation Citeh had with Hart/Given. We would have lost him if he had been told he was number 2. Who's the best? On his day Krul. Consistency wise probably Harper. I just think Kruls athleticism will see him become a great great keeper. He still flaps at crosses but its always the last thing to come with keepers as their judgement improves. I'm still convinced Krul will have a sticky patch at some stage like most young keepers and I just hope the supporters remember his age.

As I say Harper would probably still just edge it for me at present because he is ultra consistent but you have to go with the younger guy when they are as good as Krul.

Krul is now the no 1 I think. I think Harpers distribution is slightly better but for me all we need to do is get the ball to Colo. His distribution is top quality so Krul need not worry.

I think Harper will stay. When his contract is up I can see him being a GK coach at the club. My problem with Harper in between the sticks is he seems lazy (I know that sounds odd for a GK but his body language says hes in total control, almost cocky) and he would not have stopped some of the shots Krul saves.

Krul is instinctive, very similar to Shay in shot stopping ability. Remember shays decision making was also not brilliant.

    This

I think that we now have to stick with Krul because, as others have already said, the only way that he is going to get experience (and improve his decision making) is to play.

He needs to work on dealing with crosses and on his distribution. He is very weak on his right foot (nearly gave me a heart attack tonight), but if we can see his faults I have no doubt that the coaching staff have already pinpointed these areas for development.

At 23 he is still very young in goalkeeping terms but I think that he could develop into an outstanding keeper.

No 1 no doubt about it, shame for Harper but that's life.
