Comparison of 17/18, 16/17 and 15/16

  1. It's amazing that we are looking at Arsenal away as a potential win. How times change eh?!

In the eighties an away win at Arsenal was a given, except when our keeper was sent off in one match and a win a Tottenham was highly probable, the best being a 5-1 away win
Wouldn't a repeat that at Wembley make this the best ever Premier league season

    Those were the days Dan
I watched us go from the old 3rd division to the 2nd, cup win over Liverpool, then back to the 4th before Elton Johns Taylor made army took us on the ride of a lifetime
The last 6 years have been as good really, its just that those ten years captured everything that was good in football

Rubbish. Watford's success destroyed football in England. It is because of Watford that England have not won the world cup since 1966. When a bunch of long ball merchants who have three managers a season continue to stay in the Premier League taking money from English institutions like Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool, there is no hope for the national team.

Looks like we are going to prove people wrong and stay up again despite changing managers..

    (Hopefully not jinxed it!)

Once again a new manager has come in and got results which shows the Pozzos are right to change...

Our positions viz-a-viz teams played and games played are very similar to the last two seasons.

We are guaranteed to finish at least one place higher and have at least one more point than last season.

Just ‘a better class of useless’ as the boys on the Ronny and Ramage podcast say.

    Final update for this season.

In our current period in the Premier League:
!) Only one week below a relegated team in the table - week 7 in 15/16.
    2) Week in which more points than the team finishing 18th achieved - 15/16 wk 32; 16/17 wk 30; 17/18 wk 29.
    3) More goals scored this season than in the previous seasons.
    4) Fewer goals conceded than last season but more conceded than in 15/16.
    5) Points difference with team in 18th - 15/16 8pts; 16/17 6pts; 17/18 8pts
