Only just stumbled on this thread. I have to say I don't mind either of them! Some of the comments on here sound a bit snobby to me. They were both very good players and know a lot about the game. Anti man u bias is the main problem for some where Neville is concerned imo.
It isn't necessarily anti-Utd bias, Neville is simply a vile **** and has shown this for a LONG time, maybe it's because he's spent his whole career at Utd that makes him such an odious ****er, or maybe it's just a personality trait, either way, the guy is hated by a large chunk of the population regardless of the team they support, I'd expect the only group of fans where more than 20% have anything other than disdain for him are Utd fans, draw your own conclusions from that
Um.........the conclusion I draw from that is that I'm right about the anti Utd bias!! Thanks for the confirmation.
Agree - think the bloke's done all right so far, especially as he's been thrown straight in at the deep end. I save my head-banging for Savage and Claridge.
Other conclusions to draw would be that everyone else sees reality and Utd fans are blinkered, or that fans of any team will support their own players no matter what sort of a person they are like, see Terry, Rooney, Cole, Barton etc. etc. for evidence of this.
Can't say I'm that keen on either Redknap or Neville both good footballers just not tv pundits why can't they use some of the Saturday team Charlie Nicholas and Le Tiss would be good
