I was knackered after all my flight drama the night before and getting to the wrong airport... Think that was only my 3rd drink. That one certainly woke me up though
I wanna know what I'm looking at there... can't remember if there was a hot waitress there or not? @VVD
I didn't order a pizza, I had a lasagne. It was Jaidi who ordered a pizza. Oh how you and I laughed at him. Still remember that that beer cost the same as your Spag Bol and water put together Cheers mate btw
I remember them asking do I want a small or a large and thinking, **** it I'll have a large, we're in Milan after all. Then seeing it when it came out Then when the bill came... 15 ****ing Euros
Of course I can’t, as you well know. You seem to think I’m on the side of the morons who boo and jeer, when nothing could be further from the truth. It’s the role of football fans to get behind their team whatever the circumstances, but what I am saying is that the players have to do their share as well, and more importantly, so do the club management. All we have heard from Ralph in the last 6 months is a complacent, business jargon-riddled load of guff about how we are a small club, using the sort of language usually dished out to a workforce before redundancies are announced. You seem to be the board’s spokesperson on here at the moment so tell us this: is there actually a plan at all to get the team out of the relegation zone, other than blaming everything on a minority of disaffected fans?
In truth over the years I’ve heard similar coming from the board. Sadly they have nearly always expressed a desire feigning ambition. They have had some really decent managers that just got frustrated because of the feigned ambition and lack of real backing.
Like Strachan? I felt at the time that the club should have done everything in it's power to persuade him to stay, especially after that Cup Final season.
...didn't Leicester have a relegation battle the year before they won the league? And the man who kept them up got the sack? Just saying #NotDownToEarth
Lol the thing is this could be the Leicester board in 2014/5 season. They were a mess. The rest is history
Naturally, there's a plan beyond blaming the fans. It's important to also remember to blame the lino from a game that occurred over a year ago, and to blame the poisonous atmosphere brought on by a player we sold despite no uptick in league results since. Taken together, it's a comprehensive strategy to lead the team forward by deflecting any criticism away from the club's decision-makers.
Absolutely. As long as we remain unbeaten in the matches we don't lose, and convince the PL to award points based on average possession, we ought to be there or thereabouts for the European places.
Don’t forget we’re something like 7th in the PL for creating chances, that’s got to count for a few bonus points too!
As a random aside, owing to the previous discussion: by home/away expected goals total (based on the quality of chances created), we're one of the better home sides in the league beyond the usual suspects, and we're an absolutely atrocious away side. Counting on our superior performances away from SMS might not be such an ironclad path to success.
