A quarter of the season or 33 points left to play for we can still do it in fact I will stick my neck out ant say we will Hic!
I’m still in the we’re going going down camp but if I wasn’t for a minute I’d be tempted to say that we’re showing signs of fighting back and the season is far from over.
Aye Nacho i am in your for a minute brigade but for some stupid reason I feel we have turned the corner
I know what you mean. When we went down we (the team) were a bunch of delicate flowers emotionally and it’s remained that way for most of this season but now you can see that attitude cast aside and the only problem now is that we’re not very good. Now that describes most of the teams in this league so we’ve got a fighting chance, now we’ve started fighting. We usually leave it until there’s three games left to do that so we’ve started early.
Every season there’s a team that finds some form and goes on a good run - while it’s mathematically possible to stay up I’ll keep hoping that’ll be us and we somehow survive. No idea how cause we are where we are on merit but it’s a 46 game season not 35
I like having another game this week to keep the momentum going!! I think that we’ll beat Villa on Tuesday as well, and with Coleman behind the wheel I think things will start to happen - I’m sure of it!!
Funny word “momentum” isn’t it. My negative Dad thinks we’re rubbish but I look that we’ve played 2 form dudes in a week and neither have beaten us.a little unlucky against Millwall and great resilience and determination against Boro. Glad I’m not the only one who sees it like that. That said, we need to start winning
When Man U kept winning the title, some days they played awful (by their standards). The pundits would say ''that's why they win the title, because even when they're bad, they are the team that go home with the 3pts. My worry is that we are the opposite, and when we're better, we still don't bag the points. As Sunderlad says though, Coleman can still change that.
Called the Jason Steele inclusion spot on if I do say so myself haha. Had a good game and was the highest rated Sunderland player amongst some local journos
I thought that he had a good game, but I was very disappointed when SAFC, one season removed from the Premier League, went in to time wasting mode against an unimpressive side, one season removed from a sixth place finish in League 1.
I thought you were mad but yeah it’s looking like he might be our best choice after all. Let’s see if he can keep it up.
Tighten up our defensive play and we will survive. A swansong from JoS and Kone could be the key, and if Paddy and Gibson bolster our midfield options at the death, we could do it in, cant bring myself to say style, but even that is possible, who knows. Haway the lads.
I know that making the escape using the last 6 or 7 games is exciting, but please start it from 11 out !
