Exactly...a couple of weeks of sighing where I will resemble a deeply disappointed landed whale who can't be bothered to even make the effort to get back in the sea, then move on to wondering who we'll play when the season opens and who we will sign/sell. Bit like the start of every season. The only real difference will be that I'll find the media concentration on a few EPL teams even more annoying.
You don't think complacency from top to bottom could be a factor of why we are where we are? Are you happy if that's coming from the manager?
My worry is that it's a feeling that I've had from the club upto board level for most of this season. It's not the fact that he said it per se that concerns me, like you say he's hardly media trained and is just a young kid. My concern is that is the genuine feeling around the club right now. A whole "we're too good to go down, we'll be fine, just keep doing what we're doing"
The club's failure to invest in more than one player in January, despite our obvious need, worries me. Simms expressing confidence in his post match interview doesn't. I don't read anything at all about the manager into those comments either, although obviously MP2 is responsible for everything from Boufal's missed header to global warming.
I'm looking forward to Les Reed's speech at the end of season awards dinner with particular interest in May.
Must remember that what the manager says in public is not necessarily what he is saying behind closed doors to the players or board. Ditto for Les and Ralph....what would be the point in coming out for a public rant? I will judge them on what they do in the summer....whatever happens.
True. However there is a silver lining in one sense. If the form stays the same we can no longer be disappointed but a win will be such a surprise we’ll need to get confirmation before believing it! Weird logic but that’s the way it is. Also I wonder if MP, being the honest chap I believe him to be, will not step down because he genuinely believes that will put the team in more trouble than it is already. I’m not sure a change now will make the slightest difference. The players we have can get us out of this mess if they really want to.
I've already judged Les on his poor decisions and shameful not backing of the manager in the January transfer window, our current plight is mostly his responsibility IMO.

Oh I think they really want to........but defending for 70 minutes and attacking for 20 minutes every game is not going to get us where we want to be. Why the board didn’t act earlier with this so called manager is a complete mystery. The man’s an ass.........my granddaughter could do better than him I’m sure. I agree that is an exaggeration but oh boy he really does get on my tits.
I agree with much of your post, however there’s not going to be change now until the end of the season.
Hey @Le Tissier's Laces time for the next thread Maybe in the style of Lawro or another football pundit
