Chesh would suggest you go walkabout, you have no chance of winning this one. Just trying to help you out in a difficult situation.
Erm. No. Quite wrong. Running about without the ball is a key part of the game, whether it's making yourself availably for a pass, dragging defenders away, getting back to defend - the list is endless. And essential. When you watch the tv, you get a particularly narrow view. You get what the camera men capture, compounded by what the director decides is critical enough to show. 'Critical' ALWAYS includes the person on the ball. Watching the tv does not match the live experience. At the game you can notice available players, get on your feet & scream '"Back post, back post!" or "Wing, wing", for example. Ever done that watching tv? Course you haven't, as you've no idea who's available to do what. But then, if you have only ever experienced tv (not you personally), then that's all you know. It's a different ball game when you're in the stands. Reminds me of an old school pal getting humiliated in the media. He was a tv director with STV (he went on to run the whole kit & caboodle), and was being interviewed about a new Saturday lunchtime footie programme he was directing. He uttered some pish along the lines of "we wish to present a magazine of games to take place in the afternoon, so that fans can chose which game they'd like to go and view". That, my friend, is the sort of person who puts tv on the screen. He never did know fcuk all about football - didn't even realise that people go to watch their own team!
No I'm sure all the loyal fans and season tickets, agree 100% and the plastics ? you're entitled to your opinion but it counts for fook all in general, just the same as I wouldn't try to tell you guys about shopping,I mean I've seen a great view of shops on tv,but in reality you guys are the shop experts.
But there isn’t anyone there or any crosses. Are you sure it’s Leeds games you’re going to. Maybe it’s the egg chasing
there you go,on my little tv[computer screen]I can't see your little tantrum but if I was watching live I'm sure it would be much funnier, you can't beat live.
Flipping ec modern technology. How on earth did you get me on your little tv[computer screen] can't even see the cameras.
WJ, you are of course right, my cousin lives in the States, I'm still not a fan of baseball but you can still see how much more goes on other than the pitcher throwing the ball. That said TV is better than nothing and the reason why I read this forum to get a better perspective of you who get to see them live.
