Even more painful seeing Watford fire their Manager, bring in a new one, and win 3 in a row to pull to safety. Oh what could still be, but I doubt it.

This is the thing, with every other manager I can remember you can see an identity in the team, a purpose and a pattern of play. I haven't seen anything like that this season other than keep things tight and if we concede then try to chase the game if we go a goal ahead then shut up shop and try to hang on until the end of the match.

Actually, it wasn’t as cold as I have known it at SMS- the wind was fairly light and because I was expecting it to be cold I was well wrapped up. Admittedly though, my toes were numb until I had walked back over the bridge.

Swansea, same. 17 points in 9 matches under Carvahal. Task looked hopeless in late December; they're now the class of the bottom half.

I just want to say that I thought Redmond was really good today. He wanted to make things happen. All our young English players were good, actually. Something to look forward to if we go down will be using some of the you g takent available.

Nah, disagree. The first half was desperate stuff, pure misery, but the second half was actually pretty entertaining.

I have no complaints - at all - about team selection or the substitutions. We can't score whatever line up we put out, but I'm really not holding the manager responsible for that.

Wtf, though, is going on with the Northam? The only noise they made all game was to chant Gabbi's name - until he came on, at which point they stopped doing it. Have they all forgotten how to support the team?

It's why I don't buy it when someone tells me that it's too late to make a change. It isn't, it really isn't. Hell, it's getting close to being too late, but right now it's not.

We had more than a quarter of the season left this morning. A when you think that one Swansea win today has shot them up about 100 places - it hardly needs a miracle to save us over these final nine games.

This is why I love watching football. Even today’s game in a perverse masochist way. It’s a great game. We have a Premier League where anyone can beat anyone. We see some of the best footballers in the world week in week out. And when the cup games come around, form and reputation count for nothing. We forget how lucky we are sometimes.

It’s too easy to write us off. 8th place in the league is still closer (points wise) to relegation than a euro place - it is that close this season

    We're ****ing doomed.

2 points from 6 points where realistically we needed a minimum of 4. It's not ****ing good enough.

Attendance quoted as 30,335 does that seem right? Unusual weather, I got soaked in the Kingsland, that is a rare occurence!

The attendance will count ST holders who didn't turn up ... so no probably not right.

Sounds like there were positives Archers and glad the 2nd half went up a gear.

It is what it is and we are all desperate for a win. Hopefully next week.

His spell from about minute 60 to 80 was about the best he has played all season. I don't quite know why he's suddenly back in the team, from nowhere, but if he can play like that regularly, then great. An on form Redmond is a goal threat, and good enough for us. It was as if he suddenly remembered what a winger does. But 20 minutes out of an entire season is nothing.

Wouldn't that be false? I am sure Fire regulations would demand a precise figure. Didn't the Club say they would credit those that couldn't make it today?

Yeah they'd still have the real figure too for reasons you say but it's not what they announce.

it's the inevitability of the result that's so depressing
