Right, i've just been through my music list on my phone, and there are a few newer bands on it. These are; HELLYEAH EVILE Lacuna Coil (ok, they aren't new, but thet only came to prominence in the early 00's) Mastodon System Of A Down The Agonist Thats it. Everything else is old.
Are you purely into old skool metal mostly then? Have you gone through the heavy **** stage that most metal heads of the modern era go through?
I mostly listen to thrash metal. I do like a bit of Death metal though, especially Death. As a guitarist, i enjoy to listen in amazement to the late Chuck Schuldiner's abilities.

Superb drummer. I love Jimmy 'the Rev' Sullivan for modern day drummers. Unfortunately he passed away a few years back but was fantastic
