Injuries aside....I find it difficult to understand why a manager drops players from the team when most others have said they had a good game or games previously. ( I’m talking about the so called experts not the fans.) Although intruth most fans have said the same. I agree we don’t make the decisions however sometimes it is so bloody obvious my grand daughter would tell you. I try every week to understand our managers thinking but it is at times quite beyond me to understand his way and I guess quite a few others......including the players. It must affect them and their moral.......
Our defensive playing style wouldn't be as concerning if we had managed a couple of 1-0 wins in the past however we have become draw specialists.is it too late to change the mindset of the players or has the cautioness of this season become entrenched.
The only game I really care about at the moment is Wigan. Yeah the league is probably more important right now but I’m so fed up with the trash we are serving up on a weekly basis. I’m resigned to us going down and if we stay up I won’t be bouncing off the ceiling because made the great escape. It’ll be more of a thank **** for that. No it’s all about then cup for me.
Yeh ......what worries me though is if we are fortunate to get to the final everyone will say mopo is the manager of the bloody century!!!
For all his faults, I feel he manages to win us the FA cup I’d be more than happy to sweep this season underneath the carpet. As I’ve said before, winning the fa cup would give me far more joy than staying up this season. I won’t deny that in the league he has been a terrible manager.
Same old story. You simply have to win these games. 1 point out of 6 against Stoke this season. And they are rubbish. ‘Must-win game’ but our manager sets us up in the same way as we have all season, which has been garbage outside the FA cup, and the effort in the first half was terrible. We played very poorly at Burnley last week and got away with it, we didn’t respond from the start today.
Think they changed the rules to prevent teams from sacking managers. At least, that's the only rational explanation.
We will not win the FA cup. Sorry, and I would be happy to say I was wrong at the end of the season, but we won’t.
Can we please, please play this at Newcastle McCarthy Bertrand Hoedt Stephens Cedric Sims Lemina Hojbjerg Prowse Carillo Gabbi
I'd hand him his P45 during the parade. Cup or no (and it's probably no; we've been pretty fortunate in our matchups) he's simply not good enough.
Agree - but the issue is we have a clueless and very frightened manager who lacks the propensity to work outside of his comfort zone. I joked earlier in the match that MP2's strategy was that we planned to draw our last 10 games to stay up. l actually wonder if that has crossed his mind... all very sad.
