I dunno how many times I said it - but we should have built our team around KJ17 - but for whatever reason SB could not get the best out of him, and saw Judas as the No1. Can you imagine KJ and Gyan up front. Sorry gonna have to go for another w a n k (see other thread) Bart
Totally agree. I defended Kenwynes honour in my section of the North Stand like i'd defend my mother in a bar fight. I went toe-to-toe with someone once (as usual, an unfamiliar face in a season ticket stronghold section). I argued and debated and fought, i pointed out he was the best defender at the club, pointed out that his 'laziness' was just the Carribean way... I loved Kenwyne, and i was gutted when he went, we have never replaced him, let alone Bent.

I'm always up for a KJ love in. I just thought he was superb. Even when he was ****, you can guarantee that the oppo defenders never took there eyes off him. The lad can head the ball harder than half our team can kick it, i remember the 2-1 against Blackburn, him and Samba, a proper big boys battle at both ends for both teams. Kenwyne won, at both ends. The best performance he ever put in, sadly in a 3-1 defeat away to West Ham, but he scored a stunning header, and on that form would be a £30million man easily. Could he come back? If Bruce were gone??
Well he got a team full of our rejects into Europe. I reckon it was the Kenwyne effect mind. BRING BACK KENWYNE!!
Was he not having major personal problems when he was with us, would have loved to have kept him here, he did look to have clown shoes on when shooting sometimes mind but always gave their defenders something to think about.
Would have to be in a 'man' way mate, any other way would surely have been like taking on a horse. Made Linford Christie look like a walnut whip when he ran.
I'm sorry but kj got his new improved contract and did very little after that. Although good in the air his touch and shooting were terrible.
Thing is for me we did replace Bent with Gyan but we have not replaced KJ just like we did not replace Quinn.
