I'm usually super positive before games, especially when I've had a few wines but recently I've been a jinx so I'll predict Stoke 2-0
Reviving a previous tradition and eating just a godawful amount of cantaloupe because why do I buy so much cantaloupe it's tasty but there's no possible reality in which a person should stock up on cantaloupe and thus we will win? I don't really remember what happened the last time, so Saints win, sure.
Needs to play 4-4-2 IMO with this line up: we need three points today and we need two up front. Stoke are poor defensively so we need to take advantage and not faff around with one up top.
MATCH DAY ..........Wait for it.................. wait ........................nearly there..................... STOKED
Matchday! Buzzing! Freezing! Papers are late so sat looking out the window contemplating if today is the day I let the kids do paper round on their own
So many things have to be organised for a game to go ahead that problems for away fans travelling won't stop a match. After all no one can predict how many fans with tickets could get to a rearranged game on Tuesday/Wednesday. Travelling at night in poor weather is hardly more attractive. The league and the clubs will just want as many games as possible to go ahead as scheduled.
Looking for a reason not to make the journey down from London. Trains appear to be running from Waterloo. I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm though.
Matchday! Still snowed in! Glad I didn’t get a ticket for this one as there’s no way I could get to Southampton today!
Nose pressed to window....desperate to get to shops, but not wanting to take any chances. Milk for tea or a broken leg....choices, choices.
Don't you have a young neighbour who regards snow as an adventure to be embraced?Or failing that, is probably going to the shops anyway?
Temperatures are forecast to rise later today so you'll probably be alright later Tea with lemon and honey is nice, if you have that instead of milk- got a taste for it when I was ill (okay, man flu) recently.
No point in going to my local Co-op, they were out of all fresh food yesterday morning, and no chance of any deliveries today!
So then. No trains between Bournemouth & Southampton. The two car parks I use in Soton are closed I think (the Hub & the church). Do I walk from Bournemouth or just watch it on a stream in the warm?
