Morning all.

Elland, please cancel your hotel booking if possible as it will cost you a small fortune in taxis there and back.

WJ has very kindly found you a great offer at the Clayton Hotel of £79 per night and that is really a very good price for an excellent hotel in the perfect location. You will be able to walk from the train station, walk in and out of town as you wish, walk to ER and back if you wish and also there is a nice little pub virtually next door called the Grove which has real ales and live music.

Trust me please elland I have lived in Leeds virtually all my live and this is definitely the best way to go.

Just don't tell anyone and then you will be able to get some peace and quiet when you need it.

This is bang on Elland cancel if you can, last time you came up in 1987 we went to the Hop which is close to the Clayton and my work so can meet up on the Friday, The Grove is a great little pub too

Is there a train station nearby to ls26 8ej

yeah i was right your next to the roundabout on the main road.train station is a good mile and a half away.but you are right on the castleford to leeds bus route.many buses from there to centre.tem minutes at most from bus station on foot.

You can walk into Leeds from there elland.

Done it a few times when I was younger after doing all my dough in at the casino...wouldn't recommend it though.

Like Wakey says about a 15min walk to Woodlesford train station or catch the bus.

Matt get on the bus. get to Leeds train station.
Me and wakey will be training it in and wetherspoons is a good starting point.
If shaks is flying in on the Saturday its handy for him and the boys too.
Few beers/ brekkie and share a cab(s) to the peacock for about 12.00.
Pavillion after the game (if open)
Then onto town... I will leave you to it at this point....
Anyone can hop on or off this itinery whenever they want.
