I never gave this much thought when it first came out but it would seem there is some substance in it after all.Apparantly he is on £90,000+ a week and available on a free!!
Sound like someone else we signed last year?
I know he is a very talented footballer and it was a shame he didn't stay longer last time but not sure this is right move for us.
Also don't really like the guy and is (or was) a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
What do you think and can you see this happening?

As a backup to Suarez/Carroll/Kuyt - perhaps so we can have a striker on the bench- He would be a pretty decent fill in until our young stars can improve.

I would hope we could get him to agree to lower wages though. 90k per week to sit on a bench would be pretty generous.

Apparently he was very good in the dressing room, got on well with everyone, didnt have an attitude and trained well.I think the one " golf club" incident made Rafa think he was a bit of a loose cannon, and from that moment on,he was always the one left on the bench. But regards training hard, listening to the manager, I dont think was ever a problem with Bellamy,at Liverpool.

Will it happen, depends on City, will they let him go to someone they may see as a competitor, with Adebayor goin to Spurs tonight I expect they will, havin the likes of Aguero Nasri on the books now I dont think they will be worrying about gettin fourth like Liverpool. They ll want first

Like you say also it may also depend on if we can offload Cole to Spurs

The thing with Bellamy too is they can, give him a 1 or 2 yr deal(shorter deal than Cole), plus he can play wide too

I think theres a very good chance of Bellamy to Liverpool happenin, I d say theres an 80% chance he will be a Liverpool player on the 1st Sept

Also, theres also rumours we want Benayoun too!!!!!

Finally some pace to the front line, how does he run that fast with all that baggage?

Actually think he would be a good signing. Would fill the gap while letting our youngsters progress and get ready for the senior squad. Bellamy always has skill, has blown up at robson and Benitez, though he seems to have cooled down in his latter years.

I hope this egotistical ****wit stays away from our club. He will end up being more deadwood - he is far too old, past his best, and a complete tit.

He has hardly any pace anymore - far too old. He has started the decline to become standard club deadwood.

Not at all. He does nothing but moan and he is 32 and already in full blown decline.

He doesn't even fit our criteria and will just become more expensive hard to shift deadwood. I don't get why people want him, he is 32 and already in his decline - I really don't see what he will bring to the squad. Can someone enlighten me?

    09/10- 26 starts, 10 goals, 8 assists

    10/11- 35 league starts, 11 goals, 10 assists

Where is the decline? If anything Bellamy's fitness is now being managed much better, he has calmed down significantly, showed last season by going to Cardiff that his priority is football over money/glamor, and more importantly has adapted his game so he can also play as a wide forward.

From personal contacts i've heard he's thick as **** and a bit of a muppet, but the guy is a threat on the pitch. He has the fire in his belly that Joe Cole lacks and i think he could go out with a bang.

This season is massive for us, we need CL football, and let's be honest bringing Bellamy on to change the game is way better than bringing on N'Gog. Signing Joe Cole for £90k a week for four years with no hope of CL football is different from getting Bellamy (already collecting a wage like Cole) for footballing reasons on a short contract for our push for the CL this season. With him and Coates our depth would be class.

Ive personally never really rated him anyway and with him being 32 a decline will kick in. I say it's a bad deal unless we pay low wages.

I agree the decline will kick in at some point, and he isn't the nicest person, just think it could be a good deal in the circumstances! However... we do not, and i repeat DO NOT, want another Joe Cole on our hands!

Yeah that's my worry. Bellamy wont come for low wages so we know it's a big risk. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I remember his last season in the Prem and that cracker against Utd. But I didn't see him at all whilst he was at Cardiff last season. I'm yet to be convinced...could be a cult hero.

Another Cardiff fan here, completely agree with all said, total has been, no talent left, career in decline and could'nt hit a cows arse with a banjo. You dont want him hindering your challenge for 5th place this year so I suppose we will just have him.

    He was City's best player.

His run-ins have often been because he sees players not putting the effort in he expects from himself.

If anybody can manage him Kenny can.

I haven't timed his pace recently so I dunno about that but he was pretty pacy before so even with the loss of a yard he'll still get past people.

Riise certainly didn't appear to be badly hurt by the gold club incident so I'm wondering exactly how bad the "assault" was. I mean, if I hit you with a golf club you might go, "Ouch, what was that for?" or you might die, depending on how angry I was. Riise played so I guess he was fine.

For a stopgap backup striker Bellamy's above the level we could expect because damn sure David VIlla won't be sitting on our bench and we don't need no Bobby Zamora, otherrwise we'd keep N'Gog. I haven't seen anybody put any names forward to replace NGog as 3rd/4th striker despite so many wanting him gone. Voronin, anyone?

Bellamy reminds me a little of Suarez -short, nippy, plays wide and inside - which will be handy.
